hi IMD and milann - doing much better this week rather than last week where I struggled to even look after myself!

A friend has offered to take me to physio tomorrow so that will help too. I was worried about driving back after the appointment - as I imagine once my knee has been "manipulated" some more - will be exceedingly painful

hi gg - yeah after physio you need to be careful

Well have redeemed another £10 from bp this week :j- currently sitting here with frozen veg on my knee - trying to get it to go down a bit before physio appointment !!!

Next I need to check I have enough money to pay for said physio - and poss nip to chemist for more tablets. Still need to have breakfast - I don't think cream eggs count!!!!:rotfl: I also need to get dressed in proper clothes for today rather than just wearing the nearest things to hand which I used to drop DD at school!:rotfl:

DD has decided she wants a computer with desk for her birthday (May) . She has therefore set about tidying her room with a vengance in an effort to prove that there is room in there for a desk with computer - bless :rotfl:She has emptied what seems to be the entire contents of one toy box into a charity bag and told me what other items in the room she would be happy to get rid of (she is 6!!!!!):D

She asked me whether even though it was expensive would it be possible to get her one - I've said we could probably buy extra bits to put in DS's old computer to make one for her - and she is thrilled to bits at the idea. She then wanted to know whether she could paint it pink! :rotfl:OH hit the ceiling  saying it would give a problem with the air vents and flake off etc - but I reckon it probably is possible I use one of those plastikote spray things.... She said otherwise perhaps she could use stickers or get a pink mouse or something! :rotfl:

I think she is going to be formidable as an adult. She is already a great strategist and has worked out how she can get what she wants - and ask for it in a really diplomatic way! (OH works in IT so we don't envisage a problem sorting her a second hand computer canabilised from DS's old one anyway). The most expensive thing will probably be to get her some sort of desk and any accessories - especially if we go down the pink route :rotfl::)

Well been for physio - as painful as expected! Guy was nice tho - but says I need to go back Friday - so double cost this week!! Argh!!!

Hopefully it will help me get back on track! He says without physio I would still be as bad in 12 months time! He thinks it will take 6-8 weeks to get better from today - but that I may be able to go to work again before that...

Good news that it will be 6-8 weeks. When do you think you will be able to head back to work?

Saving holmes thanks for letting me know about bp. Requested 2 more amazon vouchers last weekend. Have you tried woohoo yet, they do £10 amazon vouchers, or save for choc or champagne hampers. PM me if you're interested, and I'll give you more info.

Glad bp is working for you - I did so well today and got in a redeem after getting bells and winning some bingo! I am feeling more positive again today - so either the tablets are working or my hormones are settling down or something...! Either way I am very grateful. I hate it when I enter the proverbial tunnel of doom - where everything seems black!

Not heard of woohoo - feel free to pm me about it.

CMD - Did ask him re work - he said it would depend how my body responded to today - could be like a radical improvement or depending on scar tissue could take several sessions for me to really notice the difference. He has given me lots of exercises to do. He recommends doing a little walking 5-10 minutes or so every hour plus some rocking and tilting on my toes and other exercises, he also recommended icepacking every 2 hours today for 15 minutes as he reckoned the pain would be significant.

He told me he thought I had sprained every muscle in my knee!! but that it wasn't possible yet to diagnose whether I'd torn anything....

Just spent another £21 in Mr Ts so have overspent on food again - but did set a very low target. Will be interesting to see where I end the week - food total wise!
