I turn into a super cleaning machine for the first day though and the rest can barely get the energy to stand up to get to my chocolate...
Have a hot water bottle on my knee.
Got rid of another charity bag of stuff this morning so that is good. My cleaner has been - and I had cleared enough floor area in our bedroom that she was able to hoover some of it which believe me was a real result! Still need OH to move 2 boxes of xmas decs out the lounge.
Hope you are all having a good night!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hey SH, well done on the de-cluttering, I'm still trying!0

SH, is your knee actually getting any better? Sounds like you need a bit of time without worrying/working/driving etc to get it properly better0

hi swinstie, imd, csa
Well I overslept this morning - and missed a doctor's appointment - but I have one now for this afternoon. It is quite close to school pick up time.... so do I pull DD out or leave her in? May ring the school and ask their advice. If the doctor runs on time - no problem but if not would be late!
csa - my knee is not showing any visible signs of getting better.... although was skin was a lot tighter last week and I could barely move without pain. Now the pain control is better, but knee still very swollen. The doc said could take another 4-8 weeks to sort out from what I understand - the question is whether I go back to work regardless (not yet) or how much of that recovery period do I stay off work.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I would see what the doctor thinks with regards staying off work. If they recommend it then I would stay off. It's not worth risking your health for a job you don't even like. Any more contact with your boss?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

No contact with my boss although I am due to contact work later. I will ask the gp what she thinks later. My left arm is also swollen and giving me pain which is freaking me out too! I may have accident insurance with my umbrella company so need to look into that.
I should get paid in the next few days it will be interesting to see if I do!
Having a belated breakfast of porridge, then need to get dressed, pick up DD and got to GP. Car needs refilling with petrol. Generally have spent less than last month which is good - but need to drop spend further given my time off!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
