  • SH it is hard, OH and I made big decisions this week regarding work. I have applied to stay in the army for another two years (was supposed to eave Aug 2011). The risk is of course that I get sent away, either to Germany or Canada for three years, or somewhere slightly less hospitable for six months.

We will have to cross that bridge when we come to it but suffice to say I dislike my job at present and the day I sign off, no longer being a "salary slave" will be a happy happy day.

I really feel for you being in constant pain. I had a car accident some time back that was enormously traumatic and left me in pain for some three months. Still have occasional twinges but the constant, no position is comfortable, I can't even get in the bath without help, or even cut my blo0dy toenails myself, pain is really draining.

Love and hugs from CSA house!x

hi csa - that is one big decision - hope you can make it the right one for you.

I am reading a book today about being an entrepreneur - to see whether setting up in business for myself is the right way to go.... not convinced yet on that either.... I am extremely risk averse which doesn't make for a natural entrepreneur but at the same time I think the only way to make serious money is to be in business for yourself. hmmmm

Well planning to tackle our sock mountain so have bought some new socks with a view to finally parting with all our odd socks! Wish me luck - even parting with odd socks seems wasteful - I am so convinced the other will turn up even if I haven't seen it for a year or more LOL

  • Hi SH,
Sorry to hear that your knee isn't healing as quickly as we'd all like it to be, but make sure you listen to what the Drs say & do as you are told
I had an operation on my knee at 20 & was back at work within a week because they were nagging me......so going to work 2-3 weeks before I was supposed to meant that the operation didn't fix the problem!!

Rather than tidy before your cleaner comes round, use the time to find new job...one that appreciates you the way you should be!
I do not make mistakes, I learn lessons.
I work to live, not live to work.
I love to live & live to love.
    Good enough is exactly that.

Glad work was ok with you - hope you manage to find something nearer home very soon - get trawling everywhere while you're off work - make the most of the time while you are RESTING.

Think I'm starting with a cold sore- hope a cold isn't going to follow!!

As for our little monthly friend - mine seems to have forgotten its supposed to arrive every month - turns up as and when it feels like it and stays as long as it fancies - it certainly overstays its welcome!!!! - definately coming back as a man next time.

I should be applying for jobs - but feel too down to believe in myself enough to apply - which I know is completely stupid. I can feel myself going down / in on myself at the mo- not wanting to answer phone unless I know who it is, not wanting to answer the door etc

I will improve when the light comes back in the spring, in the meantime trying to be kind to myself with aromatherapy etc

In certain areas there seem to be a few more jobs around so hopefully you'll find a better one soon, regardless of your decision about the current one!
