Been feeling really weird today - not helped by my boss ringing me. "unfortunately" we exchanged answer phone messages so I may get rung again tomorrow.
My knee reacted badly to me doing sunday school yesterday - I spent more time on my feet that I realised which left my knee throbbing. Bought some cocodomol to take today as well as nurofen but not really noticed any improvement.
Only real positives from today are:
lovely roast lamb dinner left over from yesterday
able to pick up DD from school
did some washing
dropped 3 bags of stuff at charity shop
Glad the lamps cheered you up Jellie - I love looking at them too. I need to do more decluttering... It feels endless.... I can tell that it is making an improvement but it feels such small changes at the moment...
Hi SavingH!

I am signed off until about Wednesday anyway but couldn't get a doc's appt to go back until Friday. They would have just organised a sick note for me without a visit - but i would like to go back for a chat.
One part of me really wants to give the job up altogether and not go back at all but another part of me is worried how long it would take me to get my next job and what impact it would have on my cv and / or next interview.
Although I would quite like to switch to something more values based like coaching, training etc still not convinced that I could a) make a good enough living from it or b) still be setting myself up for lots of travel. I just don't want to rush the decision.
I was feeling happier until I did my spreadsheets last night and worked out we need nearly £700 a month after tax from me just to cover our most basic outgoings.... so I would need to get a job reasonably quickly.
I really should apply for tax credits and haven;t and I think if I actually sent off my p45s from this year that I would also be due a tax refund. I also really need to submit my expenses and next timesheet - but despite being off and having the time available I am majorly procrastinating!
oh well here's hoping tomorrow's a better day! Just washed down another FIVE tablets! 4 pain relief, 1 anti-d!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The declutter is well worth it. Pre MSE days I would buy anything I vaguely liked, even if I only used/wore it once. The satisfaction I have got from filling a box full of cr__sorry unwanted bits and piees, putting it on ebay for 99p and cover postage, I have made about £300 and donated a good whack of stuff to the Hospice shop.
Now I have nothing, absolutely nothing I don't use/wear regularly (minus the odd special occasion dress etc).0 -

hi csa, lucielle and verbatim - thanks for caring
Well I have to say the co-codamol made a big difference overnight. My pain is a lot better today - kicking myself for not trying it earlier. I had hallucinations with codeine after DD was born tho which is why I was reluctant to take a codeine based product - also even the box says taking for more than 3 days could be addictive. Just the reduction in pain today though makes me feel more positive again!
Now need to tackle the clean washing pile and sort into different piles for everyone (some of it has been waiting for that since last week)!! Also need some lunch.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Jellie
Well I was chuffed today - nipped into Mr Ts for some life essentials (chocolate orange and real tangerines!) and found they had finally credited me with £25 worth of points they owe me. February is going to be a bumper pay out after all! Really relieved as was worried it was going to take an argument. I bought pre-order CDs and DVDs before xmas and they have only just added the points. I also came across an email saying they were refunding the difference between what I paid £14 versus the price on the day which was £8 - so £6 better off there. What is good about the pre-order thing - is I sold a few of the things on to other family members as xmas presents - and got full price and get to keep the clubcard vouchers - woohoo! Will add £6 to my £10 a day challenge but the rest when the vouchers come!
Feeling more positive again now as the pain has reduced. Done another load of washing - need to get it to dry now. Going to have another go at decluttering our bedroom. We got a charity bag delivered thro the door today - which is being picked up Thursday - so that gives me fresh motivation.
Need to ring in work tomorrow and explain off for a bit longer. Hope call goes okay. Going out with a friend for lunch tomorrow that I don't really get to see when I am working so that will be nice...
Bye for now - hope everyone else is okay. Trying to catch up on diaries too! I was feeling too woe is me the other day to do it!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
