My OH has a pair of MBTs.....they are the best investment ever as far as he is concerned.....expensive, but worth it, he says. He would like to have a second pair, so we keep our eyes open as they are occasionally on promotional offer.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. These are the ones I got - I had to get mens due to the width and they did a half size bigger than the ladies - they were £50 reduced to £35
I am absolutely gutted - we have a fixed rate mortgage which we got at just the wrong time 18 months ago. I was looking forward to going on the SVR - only to find a letter today saying Barclays are going to charge the bank of england rate plus 4.49%! They give you 2 months to swap to another product etc in - but we can't because we are still on a fixed rate anyway. But I was looking forward to our rate dropping at least 3% and now that won't happen but scarily our mortgage could be completely uncompetitive going forward. Because I am back contracting - and my income this year has been carp will also be difficult to move to another provider even tho we have never missed a payment... It took me 2 hours to get home and that was the first thing that greeted me - just want to cryAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
