    hi csa, verbatim and IMD

CSA- glad you have had some good fortune this week - that's nice. I love it when mse-rs help each other out. Your return favour to someone was nice. I did that last year - I dropped a wrongly delivered parcel off to someone on xmas eve - I hope it made their day!

Need to sort out lunch for everyone and then we need to set off - need to be 50 miles away by 3pm. Need to get all the pressies down to make sure we don't miss anyone.

DS was given £10 yesterday by our friends as they had left his pressie behind - that turned out really handy as he can put that towards the computer upgrade he wants. So he is now at £10/300! Let's hope it a bumper xmas and birthday for him!

He also wants to have a little cinema party for his 12th birthday - I don't know why but this tends to surprise me.... I never budget for his party! (I did last year but it was an exception)

I've redone all my snowball figures and basically in this job - it is going to take forever to pay off the debt - due the the lower pay and the increased petrol cost.... I really need to find a solution that gets me a job on better pay closer to home..... OH bless him is saying I can jack the job in but financially we can't afford that.... It is a bit catch 22 though as in this job it would be really hard to get time off for interviews...

I have better movement in my knee today - and my shoulder is almost healed up - so injury wise things are improving.... I am just so glad I forced myself to wrap up all those pressies etc last weekend as I would have had no energy or capability of doing it this week!

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Hope you are ok as sicky is dofo not allowed in lead up or during Christmas (shouldn't be allowed anytime)

We abandoned plans of present delivery to family in Yorkshire - only about 45 miles away but have to travel on motorway over Pennines and it can be bleak there in normal weather - so looks like we will have to deliver after Christmas now - bet they won't believe we were going to take them round today and just think its me being late. LOL.

I'm hoping for a thaw tomorrow - I hadn't planned on snow and ice when I hoped to finish shopping this week - that'll teach me to be more organised next year - LOL LOL LOM - I've been saying that forever!!

Sorry you didn't get to deliver the pressies... altho there was snow at most of the places we were all travelling from and to the roads themselves were fairly clear!

  • Just been catching up, hope the knee is ok.
Spend the time off working on exit strategy sounds like a good plan. Where I used to work, most people on temp contracts who were classed as self employed were not paid on a very regular basis, it was very annoying for them as it left them dependent on their OH to pay bills.
I was at family 'do' yesterday and brother and I spent an hour tidying up each others CV's!

    hi gill, el and jellie

Well I went to work again today - but left early to go and see doctor... Appointment was going well until he decided to squeeze my knee to find out how much it hurt (or that is what if felt like) It was excrutiating. He reckons it could take up to 12 weeks for my leg to heal. He has recommended that I speed up my healing by wearing running shoes even in the house. So just invested in some asics ones with gel in the heel. £35 reduced from nearly £50 so hopefully that means they are good quality. I can feel the difference in support already so hopefully it will encourage me to use them later too!

Only 2 days left to work and then it is christmas holidays!

El typically you pm'd me on a day that we snook off to the carvery at £15.35 for 3 meals and 3 drinks I didn't think it was too bad. DD is with MIL so it felt like a good (cheaper) day to go - and I was in agony after the GP's knee squeeze!
