Hi V IMD and CMD
Well had a nice long lie in until about 11am. When OH saw what time I had got in he said he would still take DD to school -bless
DD came in and gave me a big hug and told me that her teacher had finally put her on free reading! She was thrilled.
Hope to get the xmas tree up today - that is top priority I think LOL and ideally get my dad's xmas present. Then I have got everyones!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Off to get my dad's present now I think before kids come home.
Still need to chase up aa warranty thing, sort out lift, take books back to library etc.... put xmas tree up, do washing
However cleaner came yesterday so house feels a lot lighter and brighter! Not worrying about trying to do that as well which is great!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Must be great to have a cleaner SavingH
My flat is a state at the moment and I am so busy with work and ordering/collecting Xmas presents that I can't find time to do it. Let rip at OH today so hopefully he will do a bit tonight. He is usually brilliant but between commuting to work and travelling 5 hours in 1 day to do band practice (1 day a week) he is living in cloud cuckoo land.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi CMD - only just got cleaner back.... It was when I was slurring my words with stress and tiredness that I knew I had to do something! How's things going with you generally?
Redone all my figures - and forgot that I had a large cashback credit card bill to account for so actually will be able to pay very little extra a month.... Quite disheartening! Hopefully my spending will settle down after xmas and just be kind of food and petrol again....
Now got Dad's pressie - mostly paid for by my cashback card vouchers so all my xmas shopping is now in theory done... I now need to resist adding anything else to the pile!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi SavingH,
Sorry to hear about the cashback card. I feel a bit like that about my Oz card
Think of all the debt you can pay off at the end of Jan though!
I am okay, am 30 weeks today and feeling a bit hormonal. I have cleaned the bathroom now so will crack on with the rest of the place this evening and hopefully will feel better. Managed to post all my Xmas cards (inc the ones to Ireland) so I feel better about that knowing they will get there on time.
Am seriously tempted to make a list of who I receive cards from and make that my Xmas card list for next year. Virtually no-one has asked what our new address is even though we moved 2 months ago so am not expecting huge influx this year. The thing is that it costs 56p per card (stamp) to send to Ireland & I had to send 30 cards there so no point in wasting my money year after year - or does that sound miserable? I am just sick of being the only one to send cards year after year.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Hi CMD congrats on getting to 30 weeks - can't believe how quickly your due date is coming round. I pretty much don't bother with xmas cards now -people are lucky if they get an e-card - much cheaper, better for the planet! I wouldn't spend that kind of money sorryAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I'm beginning to come around to your way of thinking. It's just cos I live in a different country that I think its nice to send a card because I don't see people all the time. I will see what happens this year but think I will shorten my list.
How was your day off?
Yes, can't believe I am 30 weeks. It feels a bit scary - have so much to do before the baby arrives. Don't even have a baby grow!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
