Where is the 'linked in' thing? I've heard about it a few times and looked for it on the internet but can't seem to find it. Is it only for certian professions or can anyone join it?

Have fun with the belly dancing :D xxx

    Thanks Bevan

Anyone can join linked in - you just post up a bit about yourself and what jobs you've done. http://www.linkedin.com/

You can then search for anyone else you know that you may have worked with previously and connect to them.

  • Belly dancing class went fine. A good mix of ages and everyone seemed friendly.

Went out with my friend last night too and she paid for my drink - so that means for once I managed 2 NSD's on the run!

Spoke to some more agencies today. I refreshed my CV at one of the sites and that has started another trickle of calls... Hopefully one day it will result in an actual job!

your sounding a bit more positive today saving ...glad the belly dancing class went well
  • Phew finally caught up... from start to finish. Sent you a pm at page 25 (thought it was 27) and was so chuffed on page 27 to see you had a temp job, then felt kicked for you when they let you go... then have to admit, soppy sod that I am.. had a tear when you didnt get the job. I reckon the 4th interviewer was a very insecure person who saw that you would challenge her.

I did belly dancing for 10 weeks a few years ago.... hope you are holding that pretend pencil whilst doing your figure of 8's lol

Wow gina - can't believe you read all that!:T

El :A- I really do work hard at staying positive - not been easy as you probably realise. I am trying to see it as God giving me time with my kids - which can be in short supply when you are a working mum at management level. The time with the kids is particularly important as my DS has just started high school and is finding it hard to adjust. He's fine with the actual work it is just the organisation, remembering everything and trying to avoid detentions for forgotten items that he is struggling with.

The belly dancing figure of 8 thing - well I tried. My DD asked me to show her some moves when I went a few years ago and she could still remember the figure of 8 thing! (She's only 6)

Well NSD yesterday too. I am so proud. Doesn't normally happen for me. If I can avoid the shops - our money will last a lot longer - which it might need to at this rate. So trying really hard to be good!

I have been going on the freebies board again and the competitions board a little bit. Got a full size free avon lipstick in metalic pink. that is going in my christmas present stash! Well worth taking a look at the freebies board and seeing what you can get.

I am meeting a lady from an agency at lunchtime - hope it goes well. :pIt is just an intro meeting but who knows could lead to something.

I am also upto to 2600 words on my "book". That's still only one chapter tho... Let's hope I can keep it up and that it is worth reading at the end of it. My husband said it sounds like the books you read  - so I took that as a positive sign!

My house looks like a bombsite. I really wish I had the tidy gene! Just about keeping on top of the stuff that will go in the dishwasher but struggling with everything else!

How is everyone - feels very quiet on this thread? Hope you are all doing well.:D
