    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

    Hi MF

Wol - do you know anyone with a jack russell? they like rats too..killing the little blighters. I don't envy you at all...my parents had a plague of them last year because the stupid builder they employed bodged up the drain connection, just used polyfilla which the rats chewed through as they swarmed up the sewer pipes and into the cavity wall and the ceiling of their extension:eek::mad:

    What 'robins' or 'hobnobs'? :confused::confused:

    Dear rog

A robin is a small bird with a red breast that likes to make its nest in Lula's shed :p:D

Lovely & sunny here & my clio booked in for its bonnet check & another 25 point check & a good wash too all for free on the 23rd of May :j

Nearest Renault dealer is in poshy Weybridge so DD & I will go scouring local charity shops for designer cast offs & cooking books for Numpty ;)

NB - Rog - a bonnet is the lid at the front of the car & not something worn on old ladies heads :p:rotfl:

The weather here is carp Clio - its dull at the mo and looks like rain - I dont want it to rain as I have to go out later plodding the streets putting leaflets through snappy letterboxes usually with equally snappy dogs waiting the other side:eek:

I don't feel very motivated today - it must be the weather:rolleyes:

    Hi Horace
They come down to the stream to nest this time every year ..normally you only see a couple .....but we had a massive [STRIKE]group[/STRIKE] infestation of them in 2007 nesting under my next door neighbours bridge...... Me and ex-OH (both of us microbiologists so well aware of leptospirosis etc)....cordoned off all round the stream with hazard warning tape, warning signs etc and put bit down....and while we were doing so the little barstewards were running in and out of the burrows right by our hands:eek:. Luckily the stream rose suddenly a week later...(you could see mummy rats pulling their babies to higher ground) and later that July there was "THE Flood" and they have been scarce ever since.....(about the only good thing to result from the flood apart from me finding MSE ;))

I don;t get the council in any more as the people they send are useless at baiting properly......you have to identify the current runs/burrows and use plastic bags stuffed in the holes so they have to eat their way in and out.......open trays of bait put out willy nilly in the general area are no good...and dangerous to other animals..

Not to worry, I'm sure a combination of bait and my secret weapon :shhh: ;) should get rid of it quick enough :D:D

    Don;t worry Numpty, you'll be perfectly safe...:rotfl:
