Not had time to read last 13 - odd pages but thought I'd let you know that there's lots of lovely reduced things in Chelmer Village. :D
Pretty Polly leg glaze - £1.75
Boots own tights - cheapest £1.75 on 3 4 2 and use ACM 50 points wyb hosery and socks.
Heavy Brown leather bonded photo album in box - £7
    Botanics ? 75p
    FCUK bronzer - £1.75
    NC eyemasks ? 99p
    Colgate massager toothbrushes 69p
    Mcleans (sp?) toothpaste 65p
    2008 Swimwear - various prices.
Several christmas toys with clearance stickers - mainly Knex (sp?)
Lots of Olay in green box if this takes your fancy.
Plenty of No 7 sponges, nail buffers etc to use up purplies on. No accessories, barely any reduced No 7 and no No 7 GWP!
Lots of stuff on clearance stands but couldn't get close to look as some woman was hogging the area!
Also went to a tiny Boots that I've never been to before and found loads of boxed L'oreal hair dyes - blonde something £1.75, loads of small boxes of tubi-grip varius sizes 75p, Retardex toothpaste £2 instead of £7 something. The best thing I found was a large S & G "purse" with a big clasp on it. Never seen it before and not reduced but sooo gorgeous :smileyhea that I bought it with points. Well pleased. x
    :p

The Broomhill store had reduced perfumes this afernoon-stuff they don'tnormally stock so are selling off. I saw Tommy girl for £5.67 and went to buy it for my mum and it came up as £2.97!!!! This was a 30ml bottle of EDP. Not sure if the other perfumes/bodylotions/shower gels will also have 50% taken off at the till but if so...go get 'em girls!!
Incidentally the SAs were surprised but said, "can't argue with the till!" AMen to that :D

This happened to me yesterday, managed to pick up SJP Covet for £3.50, the sa's had to ask manager when it came up at that but they put it straight through, so grab 'em if you can! :o

  • Hi everyone,

Popped into the above Boots today with DD age 4. As soon as she walked in the door it was 'I need a wee' so I had to put a rush on things then (she didn't seem to mind when she was running round the book shop next door, grrrr)!

I had one Extracts ACM left from the other week as well as the mag coupon, and a perkie so I whizzed round and got:

    Shop 1:

Extracts Cocoa Body Butter Mini - £1.63
Sanex Roll On - £0.78 (these are on offer at the mo, usually £1.56)
    Diet Coke x 2 - £1.60 (on offer wyb 2)
    No7 Nail File & Buffer - £6.00
    Bottle of Water - £0.48
    H&B Mag - free

Used perkie, ACM Extracts, Mag Extracts
Saved £8.10, Total to pay £5.49, received 312 points and a perkie
Had £4.70 left on a giftcard so used that and only 70p to pay in real money!

Raced to the nearest toilets I know, in McDonalds because now it was 'My wee wee's coming!' Little missy relieved herself but of course there was no getting out of there straight away...

Nipped to a charity shop to see what books they had in (I know this is obvious but please people, don't pay full price for your books!! A few years ago I would have turned my nose up at doing such a thing but I read a lot of books and save myself a fortune now!)

Anyway, got back to Boots and there was a commotion at the door – a woman on a bike and a man were having a bit of a scuffle, lots of people rubbernecking. I went inside to check out the ACM (nothing at all exciting there) and this woman was shouting 'let me go', the security alarm kept going off and the bloke was trying to get here in but she was having none of it! She had a holdall full of stuff that she'd nicked:eek: !!! She was trying to get the security bloke to let go of her arm but he wasn't stupid! I think she tried to scarper then but security came from everywhere and dragged her off! Sorry for the o/t but that's the most excitement to be seen in Boots for a while! Plus, why on earth would anyone want to nick the stuff when we can get it for free legally! ;)

Back to the point...Had a look on clearance, nothing exciting there:
    James Brown Hairsprays 99p
Lots of electricals like straighteners and foot spa, £20ish I think.
One of those nappy disposal/wrapper systems £7
    Some Botanics Bathing sets £2.49
Sudoku electronic game £7 I think
    Plus more that I've forgotten

    Shop 2

    Extracts Cocoa Bodywash - £1.62
    No7 Credit Card Holder - £5.87
Botanics Mini Body Polish - £1.99
crème Egg Pack of 3 - £1.26 (Bought to make it over £5, honestly!:o )
    H&B Mag – free

Used Perkie, 150 points Mag, 100 Points Botanics Bathing PC Mailing from ages ago
Saved £6.82, paid £5.74, received perkie and 266 points

The Botanics mailing coupon didn't scan at all so was added manually. I'd had the voucher in the last mailing ages ago plus the one before that. They had different bar codes but the SA wouldn't let me use them together and neither scanned on the SS till – may have been because I was tring to use it on a mini) :o

Had to have another toilet break (DD, not me!) then

    Shop 3

S&G The Greats of Bath - £10.43 - bargain as I was going to get an empty bag for not much less
    S&G Scent-Sationalism - £5.21
    S&G Heel Genius - £3.25
2 x Clearance Rimmel Face Bronzer cream things (lots left on clearance) - £2.50

    Paid 2139 points

After some non Boots shopping I nipped to the small pharmacy one on the way to the bus and they had '17' foundations on clearance for 30p  !! Got a few of those (quite a lot left) and went home.

Today in Boots I spent less than £7 in real money and got all the above plus about £6 in points :D . Legally:D :D ! Big thanks to everyone who contributes, you are all :A

Sorry for the long post x

Does anyone know if the half price offer on Oral B toothburshes in online only? Went to get this today, full price on SEL, in hindsight I should have got it price checked but didn't :/
    http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=121612&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051
can get it for that on amazon, but would rather get points in store and avoid .com postage. TIA

    Hi.
The new Boots store at Giltbrook retail park (where Ikea is) Nottingham opens 25th March. Thought I would let any bootsers know who live around that area. I cannot wait, because it is in walking distance for me and I won't have the £4.xx bus fare I normally have to pay to get to a Big Boots store :T

Hi PD ! That's exactly what I was wondering - but then, would it apply if they'd used 2 perkies (one for each packet of wipes) ?
Also, I'm completely miffed ! I've been after the No7 GWP for ages, but have been too mean to spend the required amount to get it (so I'm obviously not THAT bothered :) ). And my local has had tonnes of overflowing shelves full of the little blighters. BUT then the day the 3 for 2 started there wasn't any to be seen anywhere - shelves stripped bare. What have they done with them all ??? What a swizz !!!
It was only after I'd worked out my 3 for 2 No7 manouvre (sp?) and went to reach for a GWP that I realised they'd gone !!

Jelly tots, why don't you take them back to a nice SA, and ask for a refund, and have the third item ready to buy them back on a 342.

I have done it when the vouchers have been used. Its a more complicated transaction, but they did it for me.

Just put your sad face on and say your didn't realise they were 342, and you want one for your Mum and aunty/uncle/grandmother/sister for mothers day, and wouldn't it be really nice if you could have one for yourself. (put some glycerine inyour eyes):cry:

Try it on a young man, and pout like Mimi. ;)
    Good luck

As for the GWP. I reckon they are in the stock rooms, really annoying isn't it.

Do we all look daft or wot :p They will re-surface after Mothers day, I bet

Ladies that are off to the Fort, popped in to check the accessories stock levels and at around 5 there was lots of everything there.. Also lots of Loreal GWP ;) and Extracts minis...Hope your trips are worthwhile...

Off to catch up now, hope everyones well...xxx

    snipped

Thanks for your all your help on this Karen The Fort had a fine collection of the new accessories. Picked up a keyring and 3 cardholders. No foldaway bags unfortunately but I was still happy with my lot. Got so excited about getting those that I forgot to look for anything else :o. I must try harder. I am a novice compared to you guys and I am sure Wee Bug's trip will be way more exciting than mine so will need to keep an eye out for her report on that.

For anyone interested there were still lots of No.7 accessories at The Fort about 7pm - Spec cases, lipstick holders, card holders, mirrors etc. The key rings were extremely thin on the ground and as I said no foldaway bags HTH
