ETA White Diamonds is an Elizabeth Arden product though, maybe endorsed by Elizabeth Taylor or something
Thanks, geordie_lass. For years I've only ever seen it called "Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds", (supposedly created by Elizabeth Taylor) and never seen any reference to Elizabeth Arden. I've never tried that particular perfume, but I love Elizabeth Taylor's Passion and it used to be the only perfume I ever wore0 -

Not wishing to be a party pooper - but aren't they on 3-4-2?
Or is that just Boots own brand?0 -
I've been bootsing today:j I was too scared to womble though. so it kind of took the sparkle out of boots for me:( I enjoy that aspect of bootsing just as much -if not more - than finding a good clearance section:rotfl:
Anyway, I'm back on the voucher merry-go-round again:rolleyes: I'm loving the stuff we can get with a pooey (I don't know why I ever called it a pooey)
I got the gorgeous colour appeal trio pro palette today. The one that's on offer at the moment with £2 off. it only cost £2.84 after the pooey and the colours are lovely:)
I also found some rimmel lippies on a clearance stand priced £1, this is the one:I bought 3 and 3 4 2 kicked in, so I paid £2 for all 3:T
I don't think I will ever buy No7 cosmetics again. unless I spot them on clearance;) The packaging is poor quality in comparison to L'oreal and the colours are not nearly as nice. "You've shot yourself in the foot over the pooey Mr B. Now we all realise how overpriced your No7 products are"
polly, sorry to hear you've been having such a bad time with your health:( I hope you feel better soon hun ((((hugs))))
mimi, it's great to hear your Dad is on the mend:T0 -

EA make quite a few different fragrances, linky here, I don't have time to look now as I'm on my way out, but possibly some of them might be included in the points offer too.
Could be that the Taylor one just slipped through Mr B's net though0 -
is it practicaly(sp) everything thats 3 for 2 in boots? x0

loreal costmetics are gorgeous, although i'm not so keen on their foundation etc
but i love their colour chrome eye shaddows - i stocked up on my favourite dark brown today it is beautiful, i'd definitely recommend it as a good buy with the pooey - think it works out at £1.84 with the voucher at the moment0 -
Oh and the R&M buy2 items and get the makeup bag free offer at the same store is only on the wee red cosmetic purses only. I wanted the purple one but apparently definitely not possible - the SA was adament and kinda rude about this point when I was contemplating buy some R&M stuff (and wanting the purple bag) so I left it...
Do the SAs just make it up as they go along?? :wall:
snipped
Hi taka
Yep! I think some SA's do make it up as they go along, On Friday I used SS tills and scanned R&M I-define & eyeshadow brush along with the purple bag till said OK to purple bag & £11.xx to pay.:j :j
BTW the brushes were the ones in the plastic cases displayed with the nail acessories stuff, not the ones on the main R&M stand, (they may also work, just didn't try)
If I were you I'd pick up what you want along with the purple bag and take it to another till to be scanned or SS if you have them,;) if the till says no then no harm done and at least you tried.
You can always say thankyou but no thanks if the tills at your store have been programmed only to let you have the tiny red bag.
But don't give up taker try another store where you may have more luck.

Just happened to be passing through Boots today (you know how it is!) & picked up a No 7 box of lip & body shimmers in square "crystal" (plastic) bottles, for just £1 in clearance reduced from £12. Got a free illuminating powder voucher from the machine, & just thought I'd try it. The till beeped, but the SA insisted it should work, so she called over the No 7 SA to help her override the till. Result! & they were both so nice about it too......
PS. Also got a till spit for £2 off makeup which my daughter promptly used on a £7 lipstick she didn't really need.0 -
I've just been having a look around on MSE (apparently, there are other boards to read??!!) and have seen that the Forums are all going to be unavailable this coming weekend. Which kind of scuppers my plans for a wonderfully self indulgent weekend of having as long as I like on the PC, without OH/DSs whinging about my time wasting. They are all off on two different rugby tours, leaving me home alone - it was going to be me, some crips, a box of choccies, a bottle of wine and my cyber Bootsing friends.
I won't know what to do with myself now....
Stamps foot in a strop!
Last time the forum was down, we scuppered off to paidtoshop. If no one else does it, I'll create a thread for us there and post a link the day this site is to go down.
Edit: I should say, I'll post it the day *before* this site is to go down, lol.0 -
Hello all.
SALLY06 - We are all really glad he is almost well too. He is making a miraculous recovery. Thanks to everyone on here for keeping me sane and all the lovely pm's and letters. Hugs to all the lovely ladies.
Don't know if this is true or not, or whether it has been mentioned on here, but we will be allowed the Health Club discounts until November when they will be taken off for people that are under 60. Well that's what the SA told me today, she was really unhappy about it too. PS. Has anyone else found that all the SA's wanna be your bessy mate these days? They all want long chatty conversations with me.
Oh and if reduced priced items work as meal deals, then I suggest everyone flounce over to Boots just after 2pm on a Saturday as almost all sandwiches/wraps are reduced. Normally at 75p, team this up with a 1lt Breccon Carreg water at 48p (only if you are in the Health Club mind) or a reduced pink of milk (normally at 25p), and and chuck in something else (desserts normally go down to 30p) and you have got lunch which is classed as a meal deal for £1.50+. Then use the free meal during the week and get a posh expensive sandwich, drink (go for a bogof) and a posh dessert. This tip was brought to you by Money Saving Mimi
PS. Absolutely loving the Extracts Body Butter things including the Bergamot ones, even though they smell like you have rolling around in the grass. I've used up 4 of the mini's now. Will soon run out. LOL.0
