The Garage in Wolverton (on the Old Wolverton Road) - very helpful and honest - told me that my brakes on my car didn't need doing for at least a year, when my car dealer told me that they "were in very poor condition and needed doing immediately"... lovely chaps down there... very reasonable on prices.

Someone's also mentioned B&T Tyres in Bletchley before

    Another vote for The Garage.
They are honest, friendly, and prices are good from what I've found. I've been there a few times now, and my parents use the same place too.

Was in the Council Offices yesterday and picked up some invitations to Costco's Exclusive Preview event on Wed, 29th March between 6h30pm and 8pm.
BUT to be able to buy you need to qualify for individual membership with evidence of where you work.payslip plus evidence of where you live eg utility bill. Membership is £29.37 incl VAT.

    Refreshments will be served.

Have 2 spare tickets if anyone interested. May be more at council offices or direct from CostCo : Tel 285020

They are really confusing at first - but once you get used to them its really easy.
H stands for horizontal and they're numbered from North (H1) to South (H10...) and the V roads are the vertical roads numbered from West V1 to East V11. They also have real road names eg the V4 is Watling St but most local use H and V for directions.

Does anyone know of any poundshops in MK? I am trying to get some cheap padded envelopes for my amazon book sales. I tried Wilko's but they only had the really big ones. Otherwise I will have to trek out to Bedford where they have 'Poundland'

    Thanks bunches

I can recommend a good removal firm 'Botrans removals' 01908 312 012. They are based in Bradville and they were excellent, it cost us about £500 with them moving from a large 2 bed house, with lots of stuff in it.

  • There's a poundland shop in the arcade opposite Wilko's entrance in Bletchley.
