Im late im late, sounding like a march hare too :D

Pad today before I forget is £5.00 ive spent this week trying to get my bank account rounded down and failed miserably, Payday was Tuesday so sent the pence to a CC, then Wednesday I got some paypal money so padded the pence, Thursday a cheque cleared so padded again and figured that was it but nope, bank holiday Monday meant I got some money due Monday today and now as I dont have faster payments its gonna be stuck there till Tuesday
Least im not broke mind

In less fortunate news, MIL was taken into hospital today with pains and is still there, honestly they know me better than they know most patients lately :D

Well done to those clearing cards and paying back mothers, its great to see progress so often.
Thanks again to Terri for the totals, do we have anyone lined up for June?
Best go, lots of wrapping to do for ds's birthday on Sunday.

Have a great extended weekend guys

Morning all, well done to those who have cleared debts. :T

My pad is only 50p today as am very skint, really struggling with finding another job, not even getting interviews at the moment - don't know what I'm doing wrong. :(

Probably nothing at all. There are more people applying for each job at the moment so the odds are a bit longer against being selected. It's a numbers game though. I started getting a bit crafty in the last recession. When I filled out an application form, I would highlight experience from previous jobs that I felt was relevant and suppress the bits that I felt they weren't interested in. Filling in an application form that seems to give them what they want without telling a direct lie is an art form. Also, I used to phone up the personnel manager a few days after filling in the form to "correct" an "error" I had made on it. This does several things. It gets you noticed. It projects you as an honest person. It can also portray you as someone who makes admin errors occasionally but the first two outweigh the last one if you feel that you won't get selected anyway. This has actually worked for me before. In the end I got peed off with the lot of them and built a window cleaning round instead. Still doing it 18 years later. I'm so used to making my own work environment, I'm probably unemployable by now. Maybe I could work for someone else on work where I was left to my own devices but even then I have my doubts.
  • People seem to be going on about me clearing a debt. It's not really like that. One of my cards has a small limit and charges no interest if I clear it each month. I use it to pay for some web space where I store files and for paying 18866 - the piggyback phone company. There's rarely more than a tenner owing on it and I just clear it each month. If it makes you all happier counting it as a debt clearance then be my guest :D .
