Guys I've been hiding a secret stash of money - I had £558.45 ready to pay off some council tax arrears which weren't actually arrears (long story short - someone messed up our account, we didn't pay enough, they wanted money!!) but we've found out that the water board are going to give us a £200 refund to say sorry :D

Anyway, took this great big wad of £20 notes, a £5 note and the £3.45 to the council office yeaterday afternoon and came out with £95...I couldn't bring myself to part with the all of the money!!! :o

So I took the £95 home and told OH what I'd done and he was totally shocked as I'd never normally do anything like that (normally the bills get paid - end of story!) but now I feel quite guilty - I think I should take the last of the cash to the Council office on tuesday because that'll mean the 'arrears' are cleared but we've got until Oct to pay it so I don't really know what to do!

Anyway my pad for today is £463.45
    Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
Aim for 2011 - pay off car loan £260.00 saved

  • Hi guys
Sorry ive been awol, so much been goin on I just havnt had a chance to post.
My pc has died on me :( and the only person I know who fixes pcs is bro and hes the one thats been in hossy all week.Anyway I NEED internet so I stole the kids pc from their room, and accidentally somehow broke that :rotfl: so am reduced to using the netbook which is teeny!!!
Still, i'll get them fixed soon :-)

Also, brohter is finally home! woop woop, he eventually got discharged yesterday so huge sighs of relief from everyone now hes back home and able to rest up in hios own space.

Moving on I havnt been on here as my old pc had my password saved which ive forgotten so had to have it emailed to me (im so dozy sometimes) but ive still been making Pads so £2.50 yesterday and £2.50 today makes a total for the last couple of days £5.00

Does anyone know if quidco have sent payments for the month yet? Im waiting on £100 from them which was finally received by quidco yesterday but unsure if I missed the send out day and got to wait till next month now ? arrggghhh I could really do with it this week too lol

Many many congratulations to Hopeful1 and Mr Hopeful1, may you have a happy and healthy pregnancy thats also stressfree :T

Right gonna go, sooo much to catch up on and no passowrdfs to any sites *sob*

    :hello: Hey everyone!

Just a quick post for me today as the sun's shining and there's a huge pile of washing to sort out.
£1 to Barclaycard today as it'll credit today and not take a million years. Think it's back to the ol's Cosmotini mug tomorrow for mini payments.

    Have a lovely day everyone!

Cheers Green !! Work bonus really helped. And the lovely PAD thread helped me throw it all at the Cap1. Just wish they would pay me one every month.....

Looked at your sig too and kinda thinking I need to give up the cigs too. Thats an amazing total saved.(Maybe when all the Hungarian ones I smuggled in run out)

Keep them jokes coming !! Oh and happy POETS day everyone!

I'm actually thinking of taking the money saved on cigs off my sig as I haven't actually saved it - its gone godknowswhere :o and its depressing me now - wish I had put away that money but I think it's gone on food :p if my weight gain is anything to go by

Right yet again, just as I thought I had sorted myself out a bit something goes wrong to throw it all up in the air :( This time its my tooth - I have a bridge and it came out last night, which means I have to make a dentist appointment which could cost me a fortune if I need a new one :( Just as I had managed to sort out my finances a bit so I had a little bit of free cash. Life really sucks :(

I wouldn't worry too much. Anyone on here who's a smoker will now how hard it is to give up the evil weed so that's a FANTASTIC achievement in its own right and one to be extremely proud of Green !!

Woo-hoo top of the page post !!

Today I have made a PAD of £10 to the Capitalist Ones.

Pink was good last night. Now having a chilled bank holiday.....

Still getting stinky mail from Egg - this time they have sent a change of terms and conditions (takes two months to close my account) So they kindly wrote to say they've upped their cash advance charge to £5 minimum. Now we all know cash advances are BAD - but clobbering someone for that amount is daylight robbery if they have an emergency and need cash for a plumber or something. At least !!!!!! Turpin wore a flipping mask !! Glad I've divorced them.
