I'm back!!
Sorry for the delay, my computer was !!!!!!ing about!!
Thankyou so much for the lovely messages on here today and over the last few days.
The lady dentist was absolutely lovely, she is an expert with phobic patients which is exactly why I picked her.
We just chatted for the first 10 minutes or so, she was asking me all about my phobia and the reasons behind it, and was pretty horrified by my former treatment by dentists and said she completely understood.
Boy - dentistry sure has changed in the last 15 years!! All cameras and x-rays now, no 'broggling' about with metal sticks like they used to. It was almost enjoyable!!
The upshot is that I have to have a small filling, and then a scale and polish. I've booked the appointments in for those in the next couple of weeks - but they'll be no 'countdown' to those appointments as I feel much better about the dentist now!
She even asked me if I wanted sedating for the filling in a few weeks - I said no, but now I wish I'd said yes as it's like being drunk apparently!! lol.
So thanks once again to everyone - I have kinda dodged a bullet in terms of my teeth - I thought it would be much worse than it has been and I don't need too much treatment doing. Hurrah! Soon my teeth will look like this:and I will blind you all with my smile!

Oh - also not too bad for price - £250 for the lot, including today's checkup, filling and polish. Frankly I'd have been happy to pay a grand to feel the relief that I do now knowing that the worst part (the not knowing) is over.
I did it!!!xx
