    Sunday already!

Friday evening meal turned into Saturday lunch on the beach.:rotfl: Guzzled strawberries like a mad thing and managed to 'forget' that I get itchy afterwards. This year the strawberries are so luscious.

Just woken up - had a mega long sleep which makes a lovely change. Will be having some breakfast (bacon and eggs) and then taking some tops back to M&S. I grabbed 6 tops and a cardi yesterday, 3 tops in my 'usual' size and 3 a size down...well, well, well, the 3 bigger ones are TOO big and the 3 smaller ones are perfect. :j:j Yes, I am jumping for joy!

Lunch will be late and some sort of salad, got to use up the leaves as I'm away from home Monday - Wednesday. Next week, after the BH I'm away from home for the whole week (UK School Games time) and at the mercy of the canteen at the halls of residence I have to stay at. NOT looking forward to that.

Well, it's a lovely day here so I have to get up and out. Hope everyone is still doing well on LC - or is it just me????
  • Congratulations on dropping a dress size Gers.

I appear to have put 4lbs on over the weekend :o I am hoping I was retaining a load of water or something when I weighed myself this morning.

Drinking tons of water today to try and flush myself out a bit. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Thanks MFD - and keep drinking the water!

I fear that my dropping a dress size may be more to do with M&S' new cotton but I don't care, it feels good.

Am in my lovely hotel and had a really tasty chicken salsa and sour cream salad - always have it here as it's really tasty and really LC. Have now retired to my room and in my jim jams so I don't feel tempted to wander down to the bar and indulge in a glass of wine.

Will be here tomorrow night too so breakfast will be some bacon and egg :j

    Cheers

My cunning plan worked - in jim jams = no wine! :j

Had a plateful of bacon and eggs and just about to head off to work. Luckily the hotel is very close to the office so I can stagger down the hill, coming back up with work bag is the challenge later today.

    Hope everyone is doing well.
  • Well done Gers - I used to stay in hotels a lot with work and it is easy to over-indulge.

A trick I learned whilst pregnant was to drink sparkling water because (to me at least) it tastes like you are having 'a drink' rather than 'some pop'.

I still weigh more than I did on Friday :( ah well, it kind of shows that over-indulgence just puts you back a step. Have currently lost 20lb 12oz as opposed to the 23lb 6oz I had lost up to Friday.

This time next week I will be on the big metal bird in the sky on the way to my jollydays :D

~I'm back home - almost virtually nearly carb free!

Long trip north, had some chicken for tea and now just going to put my feet up. Feel good cos a work colleague I don't see very often gave me a hug today and said that I had lost weight... just small pleasures as so jewel like.

    So slog on.... :rotfl:

How often does everyone else weigh themselves? I have been weighing myself every morning but I find that it if I haven't changed then I get a bit glum about it. Maybe I should weigh in less often?

Just catching up on a weeks' worth of posts and spotted this. When I was seriously trying to lose I weighed every day and can fully understand the urge to do so. I created a spreadsheet with a graph so I could track the general trend, rather than fixating on each day. I also always felt that only doing it weekly was a bit risky as I'd be completely miserable if that day happened to be bad.

I've provided the spreadsheet/graph for several people on here and am more than happy to do some more. If anyone wants to then feel free to pm me. I need your current weight (pounds please I can't think in kilos) and what you'd like to get to and by when. Its in excel so you need to have that.

The graph then shows a goal line and an actual line so you can see if you're generally matching your aim. I found it cheered me up no end, particularly when I had a bad day or two.

I like minced beef - Tesco extra lean 5% fat.

It has no carb detail on pack just says:

    cals 155 - fat 5.6g - saturates 2.5g (per 125g)

should I be buying this or the full fat version?

Just found this thread and I was wondering if you would mind a newbie. I'm a serial diet and well I'm doing the Dukan Diet, (it is a low carb diet) which is fab so far (only on day 6), not been hungry and its easy to follow. and I'm about to start the cruise stage. I have tosay though I am struggling today, not with wanting to eat or binge or anything just a bit lathargic, a bit like I just can't be bothered - does anyone else struggle someday with that.

    Ciao
