Phew.. been on the crosstrainer.
If i cant sort the diet, i must try to exercise at least
Thought i'd do 15 mins a day, six days a week for now until i build up a bit.
i use vidaone software for PC and my iphone, i just can deal with trying to guess how much i have eaten
http://www.vidaone.com/vodf_win.htm
if you eat the same amount all the time at a level that keeps your weight the same just by creating an exercise program that gets you ever fitter over a month you will start to lose weight as your metabolism speeds up etc
so say week 1 you do 15 mins a day then week 2 20 mins then week 3 25 mins, always take a rest day once a week at least and make sure you workout at the same intensity or better each time
after a month of doing this regularly you will feel very different, you should start to get the endorphin highsand if you stop you wills start to feel crappy after 3-4 days which i think is a sign of fitness

I have a headache today. Hangovers get worse the older you get, I really amn't a sweet young thing anymore.
Good thing is, I'll need to drink loads of water to help me feel better, so there's always a plus side to everything.
Happy Tuesday y'all.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Morning all, had a shock when i weighed this morning, 1lb away from my fattest ever
Mostly around my middle too
Time for action, dont know what to do though, dont really want to go completely lc as its so restricting, would rather do as Erics doing, but once i have carbs i'm hungry all the time (sugar levels prob) as opposed to lc when i rarely think about food.
Oh dear, what a quandry
I dug out my old fitday account ( had forgotten about it) and had a look back at foods i used to eat a year ago, 65% fat 26% protein and 9%carbs was the norm then.
Similar to what Eric posted i think, but fitday.com is free, its a brilliant tool if anyone wants to try it, gives you fat, cals, carbs etc, and also deducts cals burned for activities and exercise, i'm going back to it0 -
Morning :hello:
daisy, thanks for the bra information, I must admit I was thinking of you when I was posting that request for advice!! :rotfl: I've looked at a couple of threads & have seen that one mentioned a few times so will do some investigating/pricing up methinks
alias, I have a headache too. Don't usually drink during the week  but I was finishing a bottle of red off last night, otherwise it would have gone off!! :rotfl:
mazzers, I really think your cross trainer will help if you stick with it. When I'm walking I lose from my middle & hip area.
Has anyone tried nordic walking?? I can't remember if I've asked this before but it's something I really fancy trying as it's supposed to give you a really good workout.
Anyway, I'd better get myself sorted, have a few things to do today. Hope everyone doing ok.

Oooooh, I've just weighed myself, expecting to have put on as I'm feeling a bit bloated today. Scales show 2lbs off. Maz, make sure you deduct that from the weight I gave you earlier! :rotfl:
Clearly rose wine does not carry the same amount of calories or carb as food. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0 -
Decided its back to lc today, got all the motivation i need now after my mosey on fitday, i was 19lb lighter in Sept, my bmi was still 30 but i was only a size 16 then.
Sweet, never tried nordic walking, dont fancy it myself but i think you get the same actions going on a crosstrainer so here's hoping
Alias, my hangovers have got better as i've got older, dont get any at all now, just tiredness.0 -
Well done Mazzers for making a decision. Maybe you need to hunt out some new recipes to tickle your tastebuds again?
Weight loss going well here. As of this morning I am officially not VERY fat any more, just fat. Hurrah!0 -
Heard of this 'Blood Type' diet? I'm an O type and it just confirms I'm better on high protein / low carb food.
THE BLOOD TYPE DIET
In Eat Right For Your Type Dr D'Admao matches the blood type to dietary recommendations, summarised here.
•The O diet Eat meat (high protein, low carbohydrate). Cut out wheat and most other grains. Engage in vigorous aerobic exercise. Your risk factors for ulcers and inflammatory diseases such as arthritis increase if you eat incorrectly for your type.
•The A diet You should be largely vegetarian (eating a high carbohydrate, low fat diet). Engage in gentle exercise such as yoga or golf and meditate to deal with stress. Your risk factors for cancer and heart disease increase if you eat incorrectly, according to Dr D'Admao.
•The B diet You should have the most varied diet of all the blood types, one including meat; yours is the only blood type that does well with dairy products. Engage in exercise such as moderate swimming or walking. Your risk for slow-growing viruses that attack the nervous system increases if you eat incorrectly for your type.
•The AB diet You have most of the benefits and intolerances of types A and B, so most foods which are recommended for either type A or B will also work for you. Engage in calming exercises and relaxation techniques. You have the friendliest immune system.
In the UK 46 per cent of people have O type blood, 42 per cent A, nine per cent B and three per cent A/B.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Well that's balls for me. I'm an A type and I spent most of my adulthood being a vegetarian eating high carb low fat food, and I'm still fat. So knickers to it.0
