Sunnyday glad you have decided to stay
I do my own version of low carb, I allow myself some milk for cups of tea , the occasional slice of grain bread , tiny bit of mash spud just to make it bearable . I have lost 2 stones now ( since xmas) its slow but it works for me ( I have to be careful of my blood sugar though so that helps to keep me reasonably low carb)
I have started exercising now to try and tone up and I think thats helping with the weight loss too.
lcarbing has to be personal , you have to adjust it to make it suit your likes and lifestyle in order to keep to it ( I think)
off my soap box now
Alias any news of the affair? that bloke you picked ( I cant remember his name , from lost) I would appreciate some pics to [STRIKE]drool over[/STRIKE]look at

hey guys - nice to see everyone - esp you sazzers honey xxx
for me i realise that lc'ing is really the only sensible solution - when i dont i have horrible stinky farts and yukky poo's (sorry TMI) I also have bad acid indgestion when not lc'ing and feel slow and sluggish and incredibly hungry and obsessed by food all the time
thing is that makes me soooo cross is that i like the lc way of eating i like the food - the protein the fats meats cheese eggs diary butter cream olives avocadoes fresh veg salad but i feel i WANT the other stuff but after ive eaten it i often think hmmmm was that worth it - really worth it ?? and mostly the answer is no it wasnt !! i do enjoy my cheats of crisps and pitta and dips but bread potatoes pasta and chocolate really all are found lacking somewhat - so why why why the fcuk do i not learn from it ?????
ok today
brekkie - 3 spoons of lidls greek yoghurt
lunch - spicy baked chicken thigh boiled egg few slices of cucumber and dollop of mayo
dinner - out at ASK - shared baked garlic mushrooms with hubby had a prawn salad dish for main however may have slipped up here - normally ask for dressings on the side however it was a lemon and chilli dressing so i assumed lemon juice chillis olive oil vinegar type thing but it was a thick bottled sauce and there was lots of it so im guessing there was hefty amounts of sugar involved too .....:(
onwards.....

Hello lovely peeps :hello:
I've had a busy few days & I'm absolutely shattered now.
Was Hubby's birthday on Sunday so was out & about & have just got back from a couple of days in the Yorkshire DalesHave eaten out for the last 3 days, started off being very good low-gi, but didn't last long
Also re-discovered my love for a cold lager. But, have walked 9 & a half miles (4 & a half hours worth of hard slog) today (Malham Tarn & Malham Cove for anyone who know the dales) so am hoping that's me squared up!! :rotfl:
Anyway, hope everyone is doing ok. Good to see Sazzy & daisy posting but will have a proper read tomorrow, I'm too tired atm & off to bed in a minute.
See you tomorrow.0 -

Morning everyone,
just done a bit of cooking and prepped some food to take to work later.
Brekkie (just eaten) bacon, sausage, mushrooms, scramblies and tomato.
I`m stuffed now
Dinner chunk of cheese and salami
Tea small chicken breast with buttered leeks and turnip
For a snack i`ve a tin of mackerel in oil and have 5 strawberries in a small tub with some cream
I went to the shops last night and i think that it did me good to have a mooch and get out of the house, bought the strawbs and cream and a nice bar of g&b`s 70% choccy so i ate some of each last night. Yesterdays tea was smoked peppered mackerel with a herb salad. Really enjoyed it so feel like i`m back on track now.
I`m lovin the pics
Catch up later peeps, have a nice day.

hi, have just completed my first week of low carb, dont feel like i have lost anything but its my totm so i am reserving judgement, think i have low carbed correctly but i am worried about the amount of fat i am eating which i know is silly... i seem to have eaten my way through a lot of cheese (cheese omlette for breakfast/ cauliflower cheese for tea etc)..is this REALLY ok? or should i be limiting that and eating more meat?...do any of you limit your cheese intake? does eating it a lot slow results?... also, my skin has been looking really bad although its getting better now..is this a normal side effect??... finally, does anyone else suffer from constipation on this diet, or again is this just an initial side effect which sorts itself out??, thanks for any advice.0

I love cheese and must admit that i eat rather a lot of it
not sure whether its good or not but if you`re worried try grating it all and i`m sure that you will eat a lot less.
Constipation - mmmmmmmmmm, may sound awful but when i get like this i eat a tin of sardines or mackerel in oil and (look away now if you`re a bit queasy) drink the oil left over from the tinI`m sure that there are other ways but i`m lazy
usually see results in the next day or two.
Coconut oil dissolved in a little warm water works too but just lately this seems to send me running for the loo so i`ve stopped it.

Big thanks for posting this
After watching this and doing some thinking I am going to try adjusting my diet to about 33% fat/protein/carb (a swing from carb to fat of 15%)
So knowledgeable people I am after some healthy fats and what's good to eat that contains them, oh and im allergic to eggs and cheese is off the menu because of its addictive opiate content for the time being.
Obviously I know olive oil so what else can I eat that I can get from sainsburys?0 -
cheese - a matchbox size sqaure a day
good fats - olives avocados nuts - depending on what plan your doing - butter oily fish - sardines mackerel salmon ?
