I am off out tonight, was only a suggestion and now there's four of us going :j
Also out in Cardiff tomorrow for the match *rolls eyes* i dont even like rugby.
Like waiting for a bus.. all or nothing.
Ended up just grabbing a sausage midday, and just had my curry, better have some soup later to line my stomach
Also, having high BG readings (how i dont know, am confused ) so a glucose tolerance test required.0 -

Well, fasting it was 6.9 at the lab, i bought a monitor to keep a check on it and at home it's 7.2 - 7.3 first thing, but after food is only 8.3, i assume thats because im lcing, but why would it be so high first thing if i'm not having sugars??
Your thoughts are welcome as im just getting into it.
Oh and why do you say not normal yet?
Do you expect them to come down due to lc? have you experienced this before?
I did read tho that they take a couple of months to stabilise.0 -

I understand that this is the low-carb diet thread (although I consider it to be more of a general healthy eating thread
), but for me I prefer not to have the extra saturated fat contained in the added oils, and as mentioned in a previous post there's also the 'wildlife concerns' for those of us with an environmental conscience.
Incidentally the Meridian stuff contains less carbs than the stuff I was previously buying, so for me it's an improvement ALL round :T
Nowt wrong with saturated fat as long as you don't do it with many carbsChips = awful, cooking eggs in butter = lovely :rotfl:

I seem to be doing it the other way. Have dropped dress size since Christmas but the scales don't seem to be moving. Have been going to the gym 3 times a week and walking a few miles another twice. As has already been said at least it is not going up.0 -
Thanks for the welcome everyone!
The recipes in the first post are really good, i've wrote some down so i can attempt some cooking haha.
Quick question - what do you all drink? Please don't say water, i drink alot of water anyway but all day, everyday sounds a bit boring.
P.s. You all seem to be doing really well, well done! x0 -

I drink decaff coffee (2 or sometimes 3 a day), water, hot or cold sugar-free ribena (not to everyone's taste because of the artificial sweeteners) and hot or cold water with a squeeze of lemon (cold if I forget I've made it).
Should say I drink my coffee black, so no milk issues, but if you take milk in coffee you could try it with double cream instead. Same with tea I think, although I hate tea with a vengeance *spit spit* so haven't tried that.
Roobios (?) tea is supposed to be good.
Also, caffeine-free herbal drinks??
