Morning everyone :hello:
Always, I registered with the Pig to twig forum ages ago but wasn't that impressed, not a patch on this one!! Will hunt out my password & see if I can still get into it & let you know.
Menu for today:
B - 2 egg cheese & mushroom omelette
L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage, last of my soup
D - M&S meatballs with green beans, cauli mash, cheesy garlic mush/leeks
Feeling bleurgh this morning, couldn't sleep last night as got a lot on my mind atmI have mini packets of chocolate digestives looking at me as well, hope I can resist. Think I need a holiday to look forward to, like Gers
My Niece is in Melbourne now, but sounds like it's ridiculously hot, even on a night, so I would probably hate it anyway
See you later :wave:0 -
Cannot believe it..
Tested the mouse trap ( a very fierce contraption ) worked every time, set it with a piece of chocolate (seems mice cant resist it either) dreaded seeing the massacre this morning but, choc gone, trap intact
Cooked some sausages last night and had two cold ones for brekkie today, was a nice change from a cooked breakfast, and i will be doing that more often
Is so cold here, tis the wind chill, snow is forecast for later..... again, hope my car doesnt get trapped in the work car park and i have to walk
Have a good day, see you later.0 -

Always, it's still up and running though not as busy as it was when the diet first came out.
I disagree that it's not a good forum though; I've read some truly profound threads on that forum that have changed the way I think for good, and that takes quite a lot for me as I'm very stubborn!I've also met quite a lot of the women frmo there adn they're great. The women tend to be pretty smart on that site, not sure what it is about the diet that attracts intelligent women. Anyway, not sure why you're not getting email link but do suggest you look in spam folder. There are quite a few new people joining at the moment.

I'm so cold i cant get motivated, only want to snuggle by the fire
I joined the pig2twig ages ago, but like sweet, wasnt too impressed, although i did get some good tips and it was there that i read about when you are being good and not losing is because the body is holding onto water (in the empty fat cells) that would eventually be released, and to stick with it.0 -
mazzers, are you making your own flaxbread??
Quite fancy a chicken salad sarnie :rolleyes:0 -
hello everyone
it has been a long time since I've been here and I feel a bit daft waltzing back into the midst but I am embarking on the atkins again now my life has calmed down a lot and I think the support here really does help so hopefully you will welcome me back!
Have been reading the last few pages and its nice to see the same old faces and some new ones too!
I started last week on induction and lost nothing, in fact I gained a 1lb - but I know if was my snaffling of the odd dried date when I was craving something sweet that probably didn't help and I struggled to get fluids down me without squash.
So I've decided to prepare a bit better and make up some meals in advance and restock the shelves properly so there is zero temptation. I am also overshadowed by TOTM this week so have decided to restart induction on Saturday coming.
I have been a lot more active and swim and gym 4/5 times a week so hopefully I'll see results quicker than last time!
I found out I have candida too and know that atkins really helps this problem so looking forward to alleviating the symptoms even more!
Anyway, nice to be back and will be joining in properly as of saturday!

week 14 for me
I can now fit into 3 different pairs of 38in waist trousers , so a 44in to a 38in in 14 weeks, although they are not loose , they can be worn comfortably.
My target is wearing comfortable 36 in waist jeans , hopefully another 5 or 6 weeks, that would be 8 inches off waist in about 20 weeks total !
Good luck everyone.0 -
When I accidentally ate some sweet stuffing over Christmas I go terrible cravings and found that eating some salted nuts, pistachio, helped me get over them. Tend to avoid salted things at other times.
Have been good today went to the gym after work today and did everything I was supposed to do.0 -
