    Hi all

Bamboo is actually the best environmentally fabric around: read all about it
    http://www.bambooclothing.co.uk/why_is_bamboo_better.html

I've got the men's ( ) base layer
http://www.bambooclothing.co.uk/store/show_product/MS252-BKP but mine is last years' range in pale blue and darker blue. I got the male one cos it's got long sleeves! Also got a bamboo batht towel which is the best 'drier' I've ever had. Bought them both in a small cafe (Glen Cafe?) at St Mary's Loch in the Borders, somewhere we go sometimes for a little 'hurl'.

Right - packing up, switching off PC and not going to be around until at least Sunday 08 Nov. Hope that the mouse is caught by then!
Gers, thanks for that link, I think we might end up going to the exhibition as it's only £18 for a family ticket. Looks like there's loads of availability as well so will just turn up & see if we can get in, seeing as we were going to Kelvingrove anyway.

Have a fantastic break, with your 'capsule' wardrobe, never heard of a bamboo top, learn something new every day!!

Hope you enjoy Dr Who, I will. And thanks for the wishes - all the best to all those who are having some time away. If you're at home/work/play then make the most of it and keep on with the bacon and eggs and sausages and cauliflowers, it's only right.

Speak to you all in about 10 days.:beer:

So glad my mouse is amusing you folks :p:p:p

The cat is actually a mouser, well, used to be, but i always slapped her for bringing them in :o
As the moose is in the hoose it probably looks upon it as a housemate. After the 'toffee crisp rat' incident I made it very clear to Sherl that his gifts would not be tolerated. Still hope he wouldn't be able to help himself if we got an intruder :)
I once picked up a pinky coloured 'acorn' and was horrified to find it was a mouses' face with the brain attached, looked just like an acorn.. gross.
Urgh! Poor you! Random body parts are never welcome.

    Anyhoo, goodbye from him

    th_ta.gif

Coz he better be gone by tomorrow ;)
Bye bye mousey, hope you have the sense to go for mazzers humane trap - else it's THE END.

    Hi all

Gonna go a bit philosophical now :D

    I live by my sig
'You have no control over what life throws at you. You do have control over how you react'. :j

    Also I use this one
'You do not know what you have got until you look'. :D

This worked well for last night's meal :rotfl:
Found a lovely ribeye steak in the freezer - from one of my 'grab stuff on whoops' trips to asda.

Was v nice, Fried in a mix of butter, 1 teasp tom puree, splash of Lea n Perrins, little boiling water and black pepper. Yum! Ate it with lots of fine green beans, boiled then coated in butter and a garlic/chilli mix from a grinder. Oh, so tasty!

I do not worry about the carb content of worcester sauce etc, as has been mentioned here recently, as you use so little that it becomes negligible. (sp?) Same for splenda. It is pretty much all carbs but the couple o tablespoons you use make no difference as it is so light.

    OK hunnis!

If you get bored of me clacking on - you must contribute more to dilute me :D

    Today's food
    B - sausage and cheddar
L - ox heart n veg casserole on sqished up cauli
D - bavarian ham wrapped round warmed brie with little plum toms

Thanks for the links Gers, I'll check em out. Am very interested in the things they can do bug wise with fabrics. I used to be in textiles before I moved to surface coatings and it's always interesting to me.

Ravy, I've no idea what to do, unfortunately. I've been stuck for ages even when being really good. Can't really help but at least it's not just you. ;)

    Off now!

Thanks for that Mercy I'm beginning to wonder if the human body after a while gets used to LCing and gets resistant to it.Might explain the stalls we all seem to have from time to time

I had a chicken foo yung type meal tonight and it was lovely.Just onion fried till soft then added cooked chicken, garlic and a good splash of soy sauce.Added three beaten eggs and cooked until the eggs were cooked. It looked like scrambled eggs with chicken and onion in but tasted delicious.I'll definitely be having it again

Yeah I think you might have something there. I have tried going 'carb' for a bit - not intentionally, was just life getting on top of me - and all I got from that was plooks like mazz mentioned on inner thigh  OUCH! Stopping all that and going back on low carb totally to the letter didn't show any 'refeed' improvement either. :rotfl:

    Heyho!

Keep having thoughts about simply starving myself, but I know that's not the way.

Your foo yung sounds lovely! Will try that soon. It's things like this (and sanity) that stop me doing anything stupid :rotfl:

After much discussion and rooting round on the internet I think I might have the answer to my weight stalling. When I started dieting I was 15'2lbs and the amount of carbs that my body could tolerate before I put weight on was much higher and I think I need to shrink my carb intake to start losing the weight again.I'm going to give it a go and will let you know how I get on

Right then, count me back on the bandwagon stict stylee!

Got a few pounds to lose before the inevitable Xmas binge :o

I've stuck to avoiding carbs for the last few months but I admit I have been eating them particulary when out and about. Not sure why I do it to myself cos the after effects are not good, bloating wind etc. I felt much healthier when on strict LC.

    So today I had

Brekkie : boiled egg, cheese and celery
Lunch - salad with chicken and mayo.
Tea - prob sausage and cauli/brocolli

    Wish me luck peeps :T
