Hi folks, have just been going through some of the old posts :rotfl:
Very funnny at times.
I was doing really well back in March and was having lots of lovely grub it seems, so i am making a determined effort to get back to it and to have lots of lovely food prepared as i did before.
Here's to a fresh start :beer:0 -
lol maz i did the same the other night - had a good old read !!
just wanted to say there hasnt been any particular reason why ive stopped posting on the thread - just went on holiday and when i came back was out of the habit i think !!
lc'ers who have me on FB know im still alive and still moaning - lol
i am still lc'ing - did pile on the weight over the summer - for the 3rd year running !! - and have just about lost it now
had my big 40th bash after my holiday and couldnt fit into my horrendously expensive but gorgeous dress - disaster so had to extreme lc for 10 days !!
1 rasher and 1 egg for brekkie
1 chicken thigh for lunch
1 chicken thigh and a boiled egg for dinner
it worked a treat and wasnt too bad actually - shame it cant be done permently but not fitting into an amazing party frock is a great incentive !!!

Am now at the bored stage with eating the same food. Last time this happened I went onto a calorie counted diet and eventually put the weight on again. To avoid doing this again I have been looking for recipes on line and have found a few websites. Thought if I listed them we could all try some recipes, post the good ones and this can replace the missing ones. Hope this is OK.

Good morning lovely peeps :hello: I'm back!!
Ok, first the bad news. I've put on 8lbs. In 4 bl00dy days!! But, I'm not going to let it bother me (much) & I'm back lcing from today!!
Hello Sazbo & Daisy :hello: good to see you are both still around.Unbelievable that posts have been deleted from the recipe list. Why??
Thought we were all friends on here, past & present. Obviously not. Thank you, thank you, thank you Mercy for sorting the recipe list out :kisses3: I do still refer to the recipe list quite often for ideas so you are a gothic angel for doing that!!
Btw, that chocolate sponge sounds lush, thank you for posting
Well, my trip up North was great, had a lovely time. Edinburgh was lovely, apart from the roadworks  Got to see the Dr. Who exhibition in Glasgow, that was great. Missed out on the Science Museum though because it closed early for a Hallowe'en party  Didn't tell you that on the bl00dy website though, even though they tried to tell us it was on!! The Lakes was beautiful but very, very, very wet!! Drove straight home after brekkie yesterday because the rain was lashing down!! Drive home was a bit hair-raising due to flooding & gales!!
Was lovely to see the Scottish side of the family, & MIL said I had lost weight (before the carb fest weight gain kicked in, obviously )
Anyway, not had brekkie yet but menu for today will be:
B - 2 egg cheese omelette
L - 2 crackers with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - the last of the chilli out of the freezer with cauli mash
My plan is to lose a stone before Christmas (the 8lbs gained is included in that ), have just over 7 weeks I think?? So no more lapses, I mean business, I want to be a Christmas cracker instead of a Christmas pudding!!
See you all later  Get posting will you!! :rolleyes:0 -
AH, thanks for posting those links
No need to be bored though, most recipes can be adapted to be low-carb friendly.
Have you read the Idiot Proof Diet book?? I would recommend it for giving you some inspiration, ideas & a few belly laughs.
Has anyone seen the news about linking processed foods to depression??
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8334353.stm
Funny that they particularly specify fried foods as being processed but the picture they show is bacon (fair enough), fried egg & fried mushrooms!! What's processed about eggs & mushrooms??0 -
Me again  I'm making up for lost time!!
I got this link emailed to me about the best low-carb foods to eat if anyone interested:

hooray. 2 weeksish of induction and i've lost the over-my-maximum-allowed-weight i put on following my extended carb-fest. Now i just need to tone up a bit more after my not-doing-any-pilates-for-6-weeks-fest
I might be able to get back into some of my jeans but I'm not wearing them with the current muffin-top situation (and some of my jeans are still way too small!)
My name is Paula and I am a low carber1/6/08-83kg : 1/5/10-57kg
