Anyone know owt about Peebles?? That's where hubby is suggesting we go because he's never been there before. Tbh I'm just grateful to be going anywhere.

I think I might have been there before. :rotfl:When I was a kid, my friend's Dad used to take us out in the back of his van during the school holidays when he had to go somewhere. (He fixed fridges and air conditioning etc.) Anyway, one day, we went to Tam Paton's house who was the Bay City Rollers manager. Normally we had to wait in the van but Tam wasn't home and as we were huge BCR fans, we got to go in. Not sure Tam would have been too happy mind you :D) I think that was in Peebles. But dont quote me cos I could be wrong. :D Not that any of that is of any use to you. :rotfl:

Wish there was a jumping through hoops emoticon! Today I fitted easily into chair in an hotel foyer that I couldn't sit in 3 weeks ago - AND my work-supplied waterproof jacket now closes! Not sure I could sit down and drive with it closed but I don't care..:j:j:j
Small steps - half inch by half inch!

That is geat news, gives you a bit of incentive when you start to see results.

I was more of an Eric gal. :D Apparently Alan is a plumber in Bannockburn now.

I dont think any of them have aged particularly well. :D

Oh and I think it might have been Preston Pans we went to and not Peebles.:rotfl:

I made an ice cream yesterday that turned out really well

    2 eggs beaten well
    1 cup milk
    2 cups double cream
    1/2 cup erythritol
    1/2 tsp liquid stevia
3 tbsp instant coffee dissolved in 2 tbsp davinci hazelnut syrup
    1 tbsp cinnamon

mix well, place into cream maker or split into 8 tubs and freeze.

This tastes absolutely lovey with a proper frappeccino taste. I work it out to 4g carb per serving.

I'm hoping this will stop me going off track, I have a real craving for bread. I made a spelt loaf and some crackers at the weekend and that helped but I'm at 18.5 so not losing at the moment.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

Well done Gers, keep going girl.

Jordylass - what is erythritol? You have done really well with your loss so far, maybe now is not the time to include bread and ice cream, that is still a lot of lost weight even if you are having a bit of a plateau.

    Day 32 menu (yesterday) was

    B 2 egg cheese omelette
L Egg mayo, cheese, h/m coleslaw
D Smoked mackerel, coleslaw, lge mix salad
    S Feta & black olives

My b-i-l is coming for lunch today and bringing a baguette - I'm getting worried as there has not been any bread in the house for 5 weeks and so it's been easy but if it's there in front of me...........

    Have a good day everyone.

Erythritol I can only find it at low carb megastore in the UK, it's a very good sweetener for cold foods.
