I'm staaaaaaaaaaaarrving. Just drank 2 pints of diet irn bru (I'm Scottish :p) and I REALLY wanna eat the apple crumble in the kitchen, with lashings of custard. I've had to come into bed because I wanna munch it all. Hate OH for moanin that I don't bake enough puddings.

Could you make a crumble with berries (you could use frozen raspberries or summer fruits??), almond flour/butter/splenda for the crumble & have it with lashings of double cream??

Never tried it, so don't know if it would work, but it sounds good to me!! :D

Mazzers I keep getting that too, and I'm with talktalk - lets blame them!

I managed to avoid the apple crumble, hoorah, I'm not even hungry this morning, and I'm offski into town to get some new bras, I was wearing a 38 DD, but think 38 is far too big now, considering I'm using the tightest setting. I'm going to look a right fool taking about 12 different bras into the cubicle to find the right size, I'm too embarrassed to get measured, last time I did, Marks & Spencers told me I was a 40 A....I tried an A and it didnt even cover my nipple!

That does sound lush actually, some strawberrys, raspberries.....Mmmmmmmmm. Does flour contain a lot of carbs? Not that I'd scoff the whole thing myself....honest :p

Almond flour (ground almonds) is 6.9g carbs per 100g. I'm not sure how much you would need to make a crumble (but I'm going to find out ;)).

I have a 100g pack & would probably use 1/3 or 1/2 of that but probably just measure the flour/butter/splenda by eye, bit at a time, see how it looks iyswim??

Decided I'm going to experiment with it today!! :D Will report back!!

The recipe I used to make the apple crumble, said 100g flour, 50g margarine (or butter) and however much sugar.

But you could easily half the recipe, or use a smaller ovenproof dish.

    Mmm, that does sound nice.
I was thinking the other day about trying a strawberry tart.

Just almond flour, butter and splenda mixed and pressed into a dish, bake til browned and fill with strawberries and s/f jelly or fill with strawberries that have been simmered in splenda and a drop of water (makes a nice jam/conserve) and maybe some concentrated s/f jelly to set it a bit.

What makes you think we are all craving something sweet :rotfl:

    Good morning low carbers :)

You guys are all so creative in the kitchens, no wonder you are doing so well with your diets.

I confess im a scale addict :o so from yesterday to today ive put on 3lbs out of the 4lbs ive loss which is such a bummer. What normally would be a excuse for me to break my diet is going to be the thing that pushes me hard to eat right. I think ive been eating way too much protein and not enough veg. just meat fills me up so much more lol. anyway enough of my rant. Been walking alot more but its still not enough exercise, just want to get my head around the diet first before adding physical stuff into my lifestyle.

I'm staaaaaaaaarving too. Is it weird to be eating salad for breakfast? Just really fancied it. Forgot to buy soft cheese yesterday so won't be making the spinach thing tonight and looking forward to trying that stuffed pepper recipe when i see some cheap peppers.
Liking the idea of that low carb pasta too, really missing it. Can have macaroni cheese again (made with cream) MmmmmmMMMmmm. (dribble)

    !

D'you know, i'm sick of it.
Googled it and said it could be vista, even microsoft suggested it was SP2 on the live update problem page, so downloaded SP2, worked for a while icon9.gif

Talk talk rung yesterday to sell something so i told them and was told they were 'making improvements' and this could be the cause and to ring the techie team.
But am trying the new 'offer' of increased speed and download amounts, which i was told will improve things.
Tis only £4 a month so we'll see if there's any improvement.

Could be so many things though.

    For example.. :D
1/ A 'hotfix' patch from microsoft needed.

2/ The RAC neighbour causes interference on my TV so think could it be something similar.

3/ Interference from a cordless phone or similar device

    4/ Router settings

    5/ Talk talks 'improvements'

    6/ Laptops internal antennae

And many more... I give up!!

Hello! Just another intermittent update from over here... I'm still enjoying my French thing and by coincidence it looks like I might be able to start doing some work in Paris, which can only help!

    So on Tuesday I had:
    - Bakewell "porridge"
    - Raspberries and blueberries
    - Live yoghurt
    - Quinoa
    - Courgette and smoked tofu "pasta" with parmesan
    - Pine nut roast
    - Chocolate and rose trifle

    And yesterday I had:
    - Croissant with strawberry jam
    - Spinach and ricotta cannelloni with additional fresh spinach
    - Live yoghurt with manuka honey, cacao nibs and banana
    - Fresh orange
    - Egg noodles with vegetables
    - Vegetarian chinese dumplings with chilli sauce
    - Kiwi and lime smoothie

Again, all tiny portions... interestingly, I don't feel nearly as hungry (I think this is due to the change in diets) - I can quite easily leave something, or leave half of something. Last night I even tried to convince myself to have one of the chocolate-rose trifles out of the fridge, but just didn't fancy it

Haven't weighed myself in a while... but I am getting back into the groove of working out. In fact, my new housemate has always wanted to learn pole dancing so I'm taking her to a lesson tonight...
