Hiya!
Had a good shopping trip today.
1 pair Next flares
180g smoked salmon
1 jar of cheese stuffed jalapenos
All for £6! :j
Happy shopper me!
Me and the cats will be enjoying smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for brekkie tomorrow. How nice!
Kitties will have to do without the jalapenos - they are mine.
Did have a cat - Cheech, the cheeriest cat ever made. She loved chillies, she had done at her previous home. She was the most put upon and bullied cat ever by every other cat. She took her joys as she found them :rotfl: Whenever we had finished with a pizza we would put the boxed remnants on the floor for the cats. Most went for cheese or meat but Cheech dug out the chillies and had them for herself.
Sadly Cheech is no longer with us.
I cannot say these facts are unrelated. However, she lived life to the full and was a proper tart with menfolk. Still loving me if I was the only one there
No other cat I have ever known has ever seemed in the least interested in chillies. No other cat has ever been quite like Cheech.
Still, not risking it - the chillies are MINE! :rotfl:

Hello!
Another nice LC bread type thing. Best thing is it's quite sweet enough already so no need for sweeteners.
Cinnamon Bread
In a microwaveable pot / lunch container pot type thing
whisk the following with a fork
2 eggs
4 tbls full fat milk or 2tbls water + 2tbls cream
2 tbls water
2 teasp vanilla essence
Then sprinkle evenly over the wet stuff one on top of the other
4 heaped tbls ground flax
4 heaped tbls Ground Almonds.
salt - a mild grind or a sprinkle
1 - 2 teasp ground cinnamon
1/2 a teasp of mixed spice
3/4 teasp Baking Powder
Mix all well with the fork.
Let sit for 5 mins.
If it seems too stiff - thickly flowing is what we are after - add milk or water till thickly flowing.
Put in Microwave for 3-4 mins full power (I'm 800w) If still a bit wet do 1 min more. If solid to touch turn out and examine bottom. If bottom wet put back into container upside down and do for 1 min more.
Once done, turn out onto cake rack to cool properly.
I like it sliced and toasted with buttery goodness. It's fab. Takes my mind off cinnamon swirls if I get toast and cinnamon and butter!
If sliced thin and gently toasted each side - gently now, this stuff dries out anyway - and left to cool it makes fantastic crackers. Add cream cheese and a bluberry or two and it's bliss.
Best thing is this can be adjusted in so many ways.
Add 1 tablespoon ground sesame seeds in place of same flax or almonds
Use other spices ie ginger
Add 2 tbls of finely chopped nuts of your choice
Add a little pinch of cayenne for a difference
Do what you will with it. Can definitely say the true recipe above is good :rotfl:
So many options. No sweeteners needed.

That curry sounds lovely I'll have to try it.
We had pumpkin seeds and almonds sprinkled with chilli powder for brekkie
Lunch was a chinese chicken thigh followed by raspberries
Dinner is stirfry with zero noodles
Might have sugar free jelly after.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Hi all.
As promised, here is the tuna mousse recipe:
1 tin tuna.
1/4 pint mayo.
1/4 pint double cream (whipped).
Sachet gelatine 3tbps hot water.
1tsbp lemon juice or vinegar.
Mash tuna.
Add salt pepper and lemon.
Add mayo. Mix
Whip cream and add to mix
Mix gelatine and gradually stir in to mix.
Spoon into mould of your choice or ramekins if doing individual ones. I always put some (small amount) water in the mould if using a big one as it helps to get it out if displaying it.
The recipe above makes approx 5-6 ramekins depending on if you eat it along the way like I do!
You can also use salmon - same amount but if using tinned, it can be a bit crunchy unless you get all the bone out.
I serve with celery and cucumber sticks.0 -
Brekkie was sausages cut open, topped with cheese and grilled
Lunch was a large lettuce leaf, cream cheese spread on to it. Then a line of chicken breast and cucumber. Rolled the leaf up like a wrap
Dinner will be veggie curry with hard boiled eggs.
Making some soup for lunch tomorrow and defrosting a goose for tomorrow nights dinner.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -

I can't see much in the way of dark/brightly coloured veg (assuming the coleslaw was white cabbage). Perhaps look at including more of that.
The breakfast issue is a funny one. We're consistently told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day but, as I understand it, the reason for this is that a study showed that people who had lost weight and kept it off ate breakfast. The fact that they also walked for at least an hour a day may have had more to do with it? And how does eating 3 meals a day (or even 6) fit with Intermittent Fasting? You can't fast at all if you need to eat 6 meals a day!Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan
