snack-1x egg custard tart,1x doughnut:eek: (I know I know, its like I'm on a roll, once you let the rubbish back, it just keeps coming. Its not like I was hungry even-it was just there, shouting, 'you want me!')

I blame the weather, Masterchef, and the amount of cookery programmes that seem to have never-ending 'classic british puds' with custard!

It was a nightmare last week, we resisted the temptation to go out for sunday lunch - with the inevitable to follow - and luckily my local farm shop, who usually stock a local dairy made custard, didn't have any. Phew!

I've never had good results with home-made custard so we made do with LC orange and ginger chocolate muffins and cream, so not a half-bad compromise :D I fancied a big slice of granary toast and marmalade yesterday, that's a first. Luckily there was too much to do in the garden to do anything about that one! But 'they' are out there, and 'they' are out to get us

Isn't it good to see some nice weather ;)

Back to low carbing properly this week so hope to lose that 8lb.

breakfast : scrambled egg, 1 rasher bacon and mushrooms
lunch - yogurt with flax & seeds, cappuccino
evening - smoked mackerel, corned beef , half avocado, cucumber and salad
    snack - 1 piece 70% chocolate, 2 walnuts and 1 brazil nut

Walked quite a bit today so quite pleased.

Have a good evening everyone :)

You had nice weather today Sheila? Lucky you! It was cold and grey here, the washing's taken all day to not dry and I've had to stick it over the dehumidifier to finish off. :(

But I got back to 'lower' carbing today as well.
breakfast: cheese that DS2 didn't want after I'd cut it up
lunch: egg mayo, pickled peppers (needed using up) and romaine lettuce
supper: 'nam pla' chicken curry with peas

And we did a controlled destruction of the last of 'agent purple' (beetroot picked eggs) down the outside drain :rotfl: (They were really good 2 days in but the sulphurous fumes built up a bit after that.)

I think the overriding memory we will share is my opening the jar on day 5 and DS1 taking one smell and vomiting into his plate (thankfully we'd finished eating)!

I'm not sure I'll be allowed to experiment again

    Morning all,
Hope you feel better soon Sheila.xx

Does everybody know that Waitrose have their free reange eggs on offer at £1.41 for 9 eggs, until the 30th?

Also, I glanced at an article the other day which implied that leaving mushrooms exposed to sunlight for half an hour before using them, enables them to absorb as much vit D as any supplement would give you. Interesting stuff!!

    Happy Friday everyone.xx
