Thank you marrbett
durham_mim - well done, every bit helps :T
Started eating again today
breakfast - almond pancake with raspberries and cream
lunch - half avocado with prawns, 1 ryvita with 1 oz cheddar
dinner - smoked haddock with butter as I think that I overdid it earlier
snacks - 1 brazil, 2 walnuts and 2 hazelnuts
Weigh day on Monday so hope that the combination of being good and not eating for a while will help me lose the 8lb from last week.
Nite all x0 -

I hope so too, my lovely friend!
Just remember to drink enough water. It's what your body has been hoarding so you must set it free from that.

Here's a FAQ - I love mushrooms :T :A
It says in the literature that it is D2 that mushrooms produce.
We are told that it's D3 we need for optimal human usage.
Thoughts?
I will still be putting my shrooms in the sun for 30 mins - if we get any - and grateful for any good stuff coming my way. :j
Well, you never know. To be quite frank I think that short term sunshine on any of our edibles must be beneficial.
Maybe not in terms that have been measured yet, but free sun on many things will increase it's vitality or kill pathogens maybe. 30 mins isn't enough to spoil anything. Nice if it improved it, though.
I put bottles of water on the windowsill and water my plants from it. They do well
Happy thoughts

Good advice Mercy and thanks for the reminder about water
Just wish it was warmer as I can drink copious amounts then. Looks better next weekend from the long range forecast.
Interesting, I had never thought about leaving vegetables or water in the sun but it makes sense.
Have a good day everyone :wave:0 -

Hi everyone,
Feel like I've abandoned this thread somewhat of late, so sorry for that
Not been a good time at work, long hours and very stressful, so haven't had much time or energy for the internet.
Mon/Tues of last week I was on a course, where lunch was included. Which consisted primarily of sandwiches so I wasn't best pleased. I ate as little as I could to keep myself going, and had luckily taken a pot of nuts with me to nibble also.
But I felt so bloated and horrible by Tuesday evening, and have still not got right again since. I'm surprised what a long lasting effect it has had. I've not been able to face any food, and in fact 2 evenings I've totally skipped my evening meal, which feels bad but there was no point in forcing it down my throat.
Then today I've had one of my migraine type headaches, and the tablets I take for that make me really shaky and horrid feeling. So I have been extremely naughty this afternoon and had a big cherry scone with jam and cream to cheer myself up. So feeling like I need to try doubly hard next week to get back on track. Despite still not feeling great, I cajoled myself into the kitchen and have just cooked my dishes for next week, so at least I can give myself some brownie points for that :-)
Got an overnight software release next week so that will also screw up my eating patterns so want to be as prepared as possible.
Ooh, just re-read all the above and it just sounds really moany, sorry. I will try to be more upbeat next time I post.
Sheila - sorry to hear you've been poorly, hope you are feeling somewhat better now.
Funny you should be discussing vitamin D, I've just restarted taking a supplement for them about a week ago. I got myself tested a while back and thought I should up my levels a bit. Going to take the supplements and retest myself in a few months to see if any difference.
The way the weather is around here at the moment, I'll never increase my levels the natural way!0 -
Thanks boots_babe - I have given up the runs but still very tired and washed out. Well done with preparing for next weeks meals. I always take a large bag of nuts when going away from home, just in case.
We all seem to behaving our ups and downs at the moment but the weather should get better next weekend and I believe that helps, plus being able to get out without shivering
