murphy, I find swede too sweet tasting when I'm LCing & it has derailed me in the past. I'm not eating any fruit this time round either.
durham, glad the chilli meat loaf was a success, I'll have a look at your blog.
Mini, I'm hoping my ankles stop aching now that I'm LCing. I don't think they're as bad as they were, but I might just be imagining it
Gray, thanks for the turnip & mooli advice. I know I can get turnip but not a chance of finding mooli around here, I can't even find celeriac - it's obviously too exotic!! :rotfl:
alias, great to hear you're back LCing - fingers are very firmly crossed!!
Jerry, good luck for the interviews - fingers crossed for you too!!
Hope you manage to fight the c***y craving - can you do some CBT & turn what is a negative thought into a positive??
Meals for today:
1st B - 100g greek yog + 15g flaxseed
2nd B - bacon, scramblies, baby plum tomatoes
L - 2 buttered GG crispbreads with cheese savoury
D - chicken & veg (to be decided)
Exercise - diddly squit so far but will try for a 30 minute walk & some push-ups later.0 -

I am so worried that I will lose my house and end up homeless -> I am so worried, but I need not be. I've never been homeless before, so why do I think it will happen now?
I struggle to see a positive aspect in certain things if I'm honest.
I wrote some stuff about our house (as an example) but deleted it as I'm taking over the thread and this isn't what the thread is supposed to be about.
However...... I've found a positive about being fat........if you're fat and you drop food down your shirt whilst you're sitting down, it sits on the shelf that your belly makes and you can fish it out and eat it. You don't lose it on the floor. How's that? :rotfl:
Oh and btw....so far I'm being good today.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Interesting alias but also, if your boobs and belly aren't so big then the food falls on the floor and you have less washing
Well done on being good today.
Jerry - You have a very positive attitude, well done. How are you feeling re not smoking, is it getting any easier? Good luck re job interviews, fingers and toes crossed. You deserve some luck, or divine intervention.
Miserable weather again today and it really does make a difference, at least to me. Been good so far, I think, but I must stop buying chocolate
breakfast - scrambled egg, 1 ryvita, yogurt and flax/seed mix
Lunch - feta cheese, cucumber, raspberries and cream
snack - 3 squares 70% chocolate and a few nuts
daska - I didn't know about the paralympics but I got bored after watching an hour of the athletes arriving at the stadium and went to bed. My daughter got tickets for boccia next Tuesday so may be going with her and grandkids to the Excel. Not really my cup of tea but she wants the company.
How are we all today? I think that I will try to psyche myself up to make soup later as it can be very comforting.0 -

JoJo - the way I see this thread is us supporting each other in practising healthy eating habits - eating appropriate foods in appropriate quantity for health and wellbeing.
It's is an ongoing lifestyle and we all need support to keep at it when "other stuff" makes us stray. I have "abused" high carb foods in the past to dull pain and emotion, and I really appreciate learning from the experiences people who are willing to share their problems / solutions here.
We can all earn from each other continually.0 -

Good point Audrey. I was going to add my tuppence worth and worried about being off topic.
Alias - is there anything you can think of that could be a "reward" that isn't centred on food? I know you don't feel like exercising, but what about some massage? Even if it's just massaging your own neck, arms and legs?
Aromatherapy - even just some essential oils in the bath - with candles and soothing music? Sorry, I've really no idea of the levels of stress you're coping with I know, but these are just some of the things I've tried myself in the past.
Daska - thanks for the info on ATOS. I was shockingly ignorant, given the job I do0 -

Yes. Alcohol.

Boring. (Sorry)

Yeah, whilst still being aware of all that goes on outwith the bathroom door.
I sound like a petulant child. :rotfl:
I have heavy grade stress, I need heavy grade artillery, like chocolate, chips and alcohol.Save yourselves, I am beyond help. :rotfl:

Poor old Jo
Is there no hope?
Of course there is......
Keep posting - we'll help you cope.
I know, it might be easier said than done!! At least being a petulant child you can stamp your feet, and that's good exercise
P.S. the man from the bank, he say yessssssssssss :j
Glad it's cheered me up as I feel pants today, after yesterdays food rush! Was awake with the birds (most unusual) and have been tired and 'bleuh' all day.0 -
