murphydog999 - I'm fine, I went for a long walk along the Embankment today with some friends and enjoyed it. One of them has diabetes, irritable bowel and her knees need replacing which made it difficult for her to walk far without stopping. I am the lucky one
In_A_ Pickle - sorry to hear that, life isn't fair sometimes.0 -

To put a link to the link list on the first page will involve pm-ing sazbo as she is the author of the first page post. Once the link is up there it can be added to by Edwardia in the same way as I add recipes to the list. Done through editing.
Sazbo is quite lovely and I think she's still on MSE if not on here.
Give it a try, it will be a good resource to have.
Not read through, will catch up tomorrow.

I am currently on a vlcd (I know lots of people will frown on this but I started it for current health problems) and I am now planning for life after the vlcd.
I want to be able to low carb but keep the fat content down (have problems digesting fat) so I am looking at reintroducing meat into my diet eg fish and maybe some other lean meats.
has anyone got any tips or thoughts on how I can achieve any of this?
I don't like the taste of salmon, so would coat it in Bart's Cajun Spice, fry it and have it with lots of salad or with spinach finished in butter and nutmeg as my lunch and supper.
I didn't stint on the salad dressing or mayo and the weight came off fast.
I look at myself now at 11 stone 4 with my belly roll and wonder why I allowed myself to be 13 stone before the salmon diet. Gross!!0 -
Still lurking, have realised I have just over 2 weeks to get the baking sorted and leaflets printed. I really must work out how to post a photo on here, DS2 was thrilled today becaue supper was little fritata type things made in a hungry animals pan. He had the monkey
I always get hungry when reading this thread, must go and have something sensible before I dig in to a cake that's waiting to be decorated LOL. Having thought about it I'm going to have a big mocha made with real coffee, hersheys cocoa and raw creamEat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

And it's not like Spanish women are all skinny eitther.. not bought any of the clothes but have a gorgeous square wooden table from Zara Home which is pierced Moroccan style. I wrote a letter to a magazine, not even thinking it would get published - it was chosen as star letter and as the prize wasn't available in my area I got a cheque which covered the cost of the table0

You did well there Edwardia
I find that I can fit size 16 - 18 tops in most shops but the size of trousers varies enormously, from an 18 - 22. M&S are in the higher range despite the fact that they used to size big and I am waiting to fit into a pair that I bought in the sale earlier this year. Pity about the belly roll as I am sure that it doesn't help
Did anyone see the second programme on BBC2 last night, all about fast food and supersizing meals / packaging. I can't believe that supermarkets can't see that by selling larger packages of crisps, coke etc at a discount they are encouraging people to eat more junk and get fatter :eek:0 -

Yes, I watched it. I can't believe they didn't realise they were encouraging people to eat more either. But then again, why should they care when they're raking the money in?
I wonder if this so-called "fat/sugar tax" will ever get off the ground?0
