Because I'm a cyber witch. :rotfl:

It does have a great breakdown of basic low carbing tho. One of my faves.

Dunno how i got along so well without the internet, either. It's a boon :)

Went from washing machine on fire to getting a new one with delivery sorted in 40 mins once. I love the internet :D

Was almost luddite about having a mobile phone but really do like having one now. Although it's just a phone. Not smart at all. I see all my friends reading books and commenting on facebook with their smart ones. Then I listen to them complaining almost all the time too :) They can't spell anymore and have lost social skills. :rotfl:

Not ready to take THAT step yet

    By the way

Sauerkraut has had no bad effects on me. :rotfl:

It is very nice and i plan to munch through almost all 5lbs of it in the next 4 weeks

Will be taking some to Dad's on Sunday for all family to try and sharing further if they want some.

Had an fb conversation about friends not being able to get sauerkraut when on holiday in Germany. I suggested it's the same as not seeing Tater 'ash stalls in Lancashire, or Scouse stalls in Liverpool.

It's too much local, cheap and tasty to offer visitors :D

Had one of 'those' conversations today.

after saying saturated fats weren't as bad as they'd been painted. :o

''So weightwatchers have got it all wrong then. Weightwatchers are wrong then. I lost 4 stone with weightwatchers but they must have been wrong'' etc.

    Sigh

I said, 'well you were probably doing other things as well'.

Slightly riled but not showing it, I mentioned that eggs don't give you bad cholesterol :rotfl: LOLs unto multiple Rofls. Couldn't help myself :rotfl:

glad your sauerkraut turned out ok Mercy! :) hmm it's hard to converse with people like that. At first i tried to reason with them but some people are just unwilling to consider other opinions so i don't bother now...i will lend my books to my dad though. He does Atkins so he'll be interested

mmmm just had my favourite meal....roast duck legs, broccoli and kale...and plenty of duck fat to keep and cook with :) hubba hubba

mugwump79 - Edwardia explained it perfectly. I have low carbed on and off for over 10 years (mainly off due to being pregnant and then the choc binges after pregnancy) but when i started end of last year to lose a bit of weight i noticed a huge reduction in my asthma. I have now halved my dose of inhaler and only take my blue on when i am naughty :o which is often at the moment and i really feel it with my breathing. and am also falling asleep on sofa by 7pm (kids love it, they keep quiet and get to stay up late :p)

Mercy - i did that a few weeks ago. got told Dr Atkins died of obesity and its been proved that the 'fad' diet causes blah blah blah and i just ended up saying the month of research before i started and the subsequent research constantly for the last 10 years will not be negated by your non factual opinion. Didnt get a come back on that one! :p

When we get back from holiday (8 days until we go :D) i am going to join you in the no sugar. and no alcohol  for a week at least :rotfl: really need to sort out my eating, the stupid thing is as i am eating it i wish i wasnt!

The fact that you are noticing that is the first step :) :j We may understand intellectually all the info and it's consequences but it takes a totally new understanding to actually stop doing it.

Not a great leap from what you've said to trying not doing that kind of eating for a bit.

Hols are a good mind gap from here to there. Have fun hunni! Get time to get your head around it :D

    Much love!
