Forgot to say, had loads of compliments about my weight loss, every time i stood up someone would say something about my legs looking thinner, my face and even from behind apparently.. so was chuffed.

Oh, things are going terribly wrong... I got on a train at 11:15pm, and at 11:30pm realised I didn't have my passport! By which time my only choice was to stay on the train until it arrived at destination and catch the 01:46 back home again... just got in now...
Well there's no more public transport before the plane leaves, so I'm going to have to drive, which will cost loads in parkingAaaargh! Now to find that passport...

Had an e-mail from Badger at 6am this morning to say that she was at the airport, in Starbucks, so she should arrive as planned. I just hope she doesn't fall asleep over her coffee! When she asked yesterday what she should bring, I never thought to say 'passport'. Will i never learn?
B3nton, I never thought I could give up bread. in fact when I analysed properly what I ate, I never realised how many carbs I was eating. Every meal had either potatoes, rice, pastry, pasta or bread. But once I got my head around what I could and couldn't eat, it all became easy. I now don't miss sandwiches at all.Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.0 -
Lol...I hope you actually get to spend some quality time with an awake Badger.Herman - MP for all!0

Wow, you've already lost loads, well done
I thought i needed to lose over 4 stone, but friends convinced me last night it would be too much. Until i was 35 i used to always be 9st 2lb so thought 10 stone would be a good target, but friends pointed out yesterday that if 11lbs can make such a difference ( they haven't seen me since i started ) 4 stone would be far too much, maybe i should aim for 11 stone.
One friend in particular is slim and said she is now 10 stone but used to be 8st 3lb when we were young, so maybe i should re-think.
So, do you think you are over estimating how much you need to lose, or is it quite realistic, and if it is, just think one stone at a time, and it is certainly do-able :T
Especially with these recipes to help you0 -
Hello peeps :hello:
Hope everyone having a good day - hubby got paid today so I've been out buying essentials - wine, beer etcWell, tis the weekend!!
Have a good one :beer:0 -
mazzers, you got there before me, I was going to comment on jpretty's post
The weight to lose is quite precise so was wondering if it was to do with BMI or you have a set weight you want to reach??
That must have been a HUGE boost mazzers, to have friends compliment you from all directions!! They may be right about losing too much, I think as we age we need a little more coverage, especially in the face. When I'm being good  I lose the puffiness from my face almost immediately & I look quite nice but would hate to get that gaunt look of some 'celebrities' if it went too far.0 -
Anyway, as you know, I'm NOT being good, hence the fat, carby face as mentioned previously
Serious question though - do you think there is such a thing as hormonal depression?? Have been feeling very down in the dumps & I do think it is linked to my menstrual cycle. Have even been considering a trip to the Doc to see if I need some 'happy pills'. Feel free to pm me if you don't want to discuss this openly.0
