not really from anywhere. just a few things mentioning stuff and how i assumed they were made.

boiled egg, covered in low carb sausage meat covered in mix of parmasan and ground almonds (maybe some seasoning mixed in). was originally thinking crushed pork scratchings but that may be a bit too strong a taste.

just relised it is quite a large amount sausage meat i froze. so either i make a load and eat a load or hope one of my knifes will slice through it! :p

Ta. I was wondering what to use as a breadcrumb replacement.

    I might give it a go. :)

mazzers - sorry times are hard , sending hugs and hope they pick up soon. As mentioned before, I am 61 and guess that it is normal to feel tired but wish I felt like I did last year :( I think that many people are the same as haven't heard much from Mercy, hannoja, sofababe, schoolhouse, narabanekeater, Minihauk , aliasojo and many of the others who were posting regularly a few weeks ago. How are you all doing?

    Hello!

I'm pleased to report I've lost 5.5lb this week! Now I was a bit naught the week before as went for tea with my friends, so some may have been water loss, but even so, am at my lowest weight in almost 5 years!

Am going to make a huge moussaka today and write down the carbs in my little book, then work out how many portions I'll get.

Also had a bit of a breakthrough last night. Was trying to make a bit of lc choc mousse and I think I worked out what makes my egg whites so yuk! I put too much cream of tartar in! Horrible, and I think this is what spoilt my Oopsies too!

So, off to aldi, then a cook day for me today, and get next week all sorted out. Yaay!

it was a looong time ago , and i think my family and school noticed my deafness rather than me anyway , i think it does improve early on and then as they drain further they continue to improve as well , and when its all drained the grommets fall out :)

I bought some pork dripping this morning and fried my eggs in it - delish the flavour was really yummy :D

I made pork sandwiches for everyone ( except me) for lunch and dipped the bread in melted pork dripping , they loved it they said it was like a bought hot roast pork sarni - but much cheaper :D

as for scotch eggs , i saw a recipe for them using sausagemeat and just fried , no breadcrumbing and they looked lovely , i might try it

Well done with the weight loss :T

Out of interest why do you put cream of tartar into chocolate mousse? I just use eggs, sweetener and chocolate. Please post your recipe for moussaka, carbs etc.

Gloomendoom - know what you mean, it is a bit offputting :p

Please tell me how your tries with scotch eggs work out.

    breakfast - 1 egg, 1 rasher bacon
snack - jelly + tbsp cream, Linwoods seed mix 2 tbsp
lunch - half avocado, prawns and tbsp mayo
snack - soft cheese and cucumber
    dinner- salmon, broccoli, cauliflower

    Hi
I was told cream of tartar stabilises the whipped egg?

I will add my recipes tonight, when I've checked all the carb content, have just scribbled on bits of paper...

I actually made chicken moussaka instead of using mince, because that's what I'd defrosted Doh. Very nice though, and I have 8 portions. Well, 7 now haha
