I've been going for interviews but keep coming second for jobs. I got really down about it so ended up spending. Was refused for a job after a second interview just before xmas and that really felt like a blow to my self-confidence, I felt useless and went spending.
If you are coming second you are obviously doing something right, considering how many people are chasing jobs. Keep doing what you are doing and the perfect job will come along and you will come first in the interviews.
Re the sig, I would go for the Littlewoods one first and then the DFS one, as they are easiest to bash down, then you will be 2 debts down and it will feel a lot easier.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Anyway, has anyone got any new shoes lately? I can at least revel in someone else's

Thanks, Littlewoods needs to be paid off in May so that will go. I'm aiming to get all credit cards under £5K (have about £200 hiding in a terramundi).
Yeah, I decided to lose the nerves in the interviews and just talk. Seems it's doing better for me. I think after being bullied in my last job I was scared to be myself in interviews but I'm finding now being myself is helping and also in my current job. Definitely a confidence thing.0 -

Ha ha, I've just bought a dress that I'm sending back tomorrow. 10 pairs of shoes in the sales is good, bargain hunting!
I've just unpacked loads of shoes, a couple of nice pairs of Ted Bakers (still lurking on a credit card). I feel guilty when I'm wearing things I know I haven't paid for yet.0 -

I ran up 22K of debt in a year
Do you have anything that you could ebay? I know my spending sprees have resulted in a lot of stuff that is untouched and I don't need and could probably sell if I know how to ebay and wasn't so lazy and technologically disadvantaged. You might be able to make quite a bit to chuck at the debts and make one or two of them disappear completely.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
I am now completely worn out:rolleyes: I have gone through all the books twice but I only have 2 bags of them made up for the charity shop which I will take on Tuesday. This has left me with a massive pile of books and nowhere to put them. I am going to go through them again, sort them into favourites/unread but look good/reference piles and see what I am left with, which I might be able to get rid of.
I have hoovered, dusted and polished everywhere and it does look a lot better now apart from the tower of books, but I still can't find that damned licence:mad: I think I am going to have to accept it is now lost and pay for another one:mad:Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Thanks Sarah,
It's mostly the reason I haven't been on since Christmas. I was really down and to be honest have not paid anything off my debts when I was aiming by now to have paid £5K off. I went backwards and went mad spending.
I can't do an SOA right now as I don't know if I will have a job in 7 weeks. Will pay what I can and get on with it. At least I'm not as miserable as before so can join in the lighter conversations.
Thanks for the post.
Hi Pink Twirl
