It did occur to me that of all the women in this thread, the appearance of around 30 men in uniform was somewhat wasted on me. :D

It would have been wasted on me too Hollyberry, I am not a uniforms girl:D

Lindt - I have suffered three squares, and that is quite enough. I shall be kind and leave the rest for OH. :rotfl:I do appear to be having an attack of the evils tonight. ;)

lt seems to have infected the whole thread - everybody is so cynical tonight

Too late:D It was decided upon some time ago, I misquoted it, it should actually have been problem, not problems. It came for a book someone-makeup I think-read some time ago, about women in the 19th century. Don't panic, we are going to use it ironically. ;)

Ok - l can live with it if it's ironic

How can 30 firemen ever be a waste  :rotfl::rotfl:

I suppose I could see it as window shopping... And therefore a fine and proper SAID activity. ;)

Window shopping is compulsory on this thread - whether it's for men or shoes

Yes, it was a book I read a while back, I think it was called something like single and don't care ??

Lula has read it as well.

Apparently this was a motion tabled for discussion in Parliament in the 19th century when there was an imbalance and lots of single women causing havoc.

The shoemakers couldn't keep up with demand for fabulous shoes and milliners were having to work overtime to make all the latest fashion bonnets....

Now I can see why that would need to be raised in Parliament

Not that I'm encouraging anyone to shop - but if you are buying a DVD you can find out where it's cheapest on that site.
