Talking of drinking.. on my way to badminton yesterday I walked past some kids coming out of the park. two lads were holding their mate up and he looked like he'd passed out, I was just going to walk past as I had DD with me and didn't want her to see the state of him any longer than she had to but he looked dead. So I stopped and asked the lads what he'd had and they said he'd drank straight vodka!!!! We phoned an ambulance before we left them but oh god, I dread DD getting to that stage in life. I told her to learn from what she saw, I doubt it'll happen though. Wasn't that long ago I was up the park getting drunk myself

:eek::eek: How awful. Well done for stopping, I don't know if I would have. :o I am a bit of a coward in these things.

Where can one purchase these jumbo items?:D

I confess to being bit of wimp when it comes to the red stuff & watering down each glass :o NB this should not be attempted with white or rose.

Bowski sweetie, I dont want to make you feel silly but exactly how many of us on the SINGLE & in debt thread do you think have wedding photos :rotfl::iloveyou:

Dan - self appreciation as in attempting to thank yourself for posting ;) I'm not going down the euphemism route - my boat is now dry :(

Now then Dan. This matched betting. If I apply myself and do it properly, how long before I can buy a house with the profits?:D

I can talk, says she in a job she can't stand but you only live once. Redunancy plan sounds like some thing you would remember for ever xx

Yep I know you're right. The b*****ds pay me quite well though and I'm worried I'll never earn as much again if I leave. But I think think quality of life is more important - it's just a shame that most people seem to put more value on possessions than happiness so you're only accepted by some people if you have a nice car, big house etc.

I shall pre-empt your next response though and say that those sorts of people aren't worth knowing :) But sometimes it does seem to be most of society that thinks like that.

The writing on the screen is going a bit blurry - do I need a new monitor? ;)

    Still Bowski here....

Ohhh Dan I'm so impressed with your multiple quotes :D How do you do it?

From different posts or different quotes from the same post?

You never know Dan, you might meet your future wife at the wedding! You'll have to get some pics up of the wedding on facebook then add me so I can look at them before I de-activate my account :p That goes for everyone with wedding pics on their profile :D

Will do. The pics I mean, not meeting the future wife. It's going to be a bit odd actually as there is NO BOOZE! So there's no chance of me dancing or probably even speaking to anyone as I'm going on my own - so I hope the food is good..!

I really really really don't like wine, I wish I did as the thought of sitting in drinking wine with you lot sounds very appealing!

    Have an alcopop?

I think the MB thing, when we make enough to treat our Mam we will do, obviously she'll think something's wrong and wanna know how we can afford to treat her to whatever it is, and then we'll tell her about that 'scam with a catch' isnt a 'scam with a catch' after all! That is of course providing Nicnacnoo can do it, but I think she will.

Just tell your Mam you robbed a jeweller's in London, it'll be quicker to explain than matched betting ;)

I think it's good to think of making £1,000 or so from it; at that point people seem to either be really into it and keep going, or decide that it's too time-consuming or boring or just not for them for whatever reason.

Can you buy a house for £1,000 where you live? If so please let me know where as I need to move soon :)

    Sadly no. :D

I don't think I would consider making £1000 boring, I would certainly be one of those who kept going.:D I saw a thread on here by a man who was trying to get £50,000 in 3 years, the majority from matched betting. Is that do-able? It does seem quite a lot.

Double NB: never attempt to make rose by pouring half a glass of red and then adding half a glass of white. This can lead to extreme falling over.

    Does not compute
