Was it this Facebook thing? WARNING: contains strong language!
http://www.bitterwallet.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/facebook.jpg
I'm on Facebook and currently using it to get back in touch with former colleagues who've moved abroad as I'm hoping to take voluntary redundancy next year and it would be nice if my plan for life afterwards involved Canada or New Zealand - or maybe San Francisco or Seattle. So I am shamelessly networking in a way that I've always hated people doing..0 -

I hate FB and don't know why I started there but have lots of friends who I felt obliged to accept (not talking MSE peeps) and a scary lady keeps requesting my friendship (I think she winked at me on some app)!
Yeah it was more the mods than any of the posters. I don't know what the policy on here is but I post on some forums where it would be a banning offence.
I've never really got facebook, twitter etc. Everyone I want to be in touch with I see face to face.
I've never even been tempted to set up an account.0 -

I have a full bodied red in my hot little hand & am just waiting for sarah - my dear partner in wine
Hello! I also have wine and a plan.Wine is nice but plan is a bit shaky.:D
- I am going to put every bit of overtime or any extra money into my ISA.
- When my ISA is full I will add to the house savings.
- Any bits and bobs eg coins, £10 lottery wins, will go in the house savings as too complicated to put into ISA.
- I will have £100 for treats each month, which is for going out, lunches, cinema, chocolate, books etc.
- Wine will come out of my shopping budget as it helps push the cost up to £50 to use codes which is very sensible and MSE of me.;)
- Clothes will come out of current account as otherwise a mini splurge will use up most of my treats allowance and throw my plans out and cause a huge spree. (I don't forsee much clothes spending for a while as am currently living in a mini boutique of pristine clothes I can't get into
)
- If I cannot afford something out of my current account I can not have it. *sobs dramatically*
- Any funds left in current account at the end of the month are split 50:50 between ISA and credit card as I need to get this year's ISA full by April.
- continue no toiletries plan as I am still overwhelmed by what I already have.

I saw this a few days ag, things certainly get around quick on Facebook dont they...lol, i love it!0 -
Thanks Dan and SBC - really made me laugh!! I wonder if it is real?
Dan - what a great plan! I'd love to have that on my horizon!
I have to admit to being a fan of facebook.
I keep in much better touch with it, with friends who live far away and it's great for seeing photos and things of family and friends.
I know me and my cousin are more uptodate with each other as a result!
I know this is pathetic but it annoys me that one of my friends won't join FB - I have to keep sending links for photos and things ....
I am friends with more people than I should and do a cull every so often.
I have also been guilty of FB stalking and had to delete a guy I really liked as it was getting stupid!!!
I've left my purse at work and really really hope it is in place when I get home.I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
What an excellent plan sarah :T
I particulalry like the £100 treat/pocket money/simply having a life bit
I am going to do exaclty the same & dont expect too many clothes purchases to eat up the allowance as I am staying on the clothes challenge ( for shamefully similar reason)I will however, be indulging my new found passion for lingerie & am going to start this immediately ( well as soon as the shop opens tomorrow).
I also plan to have Child Benefit paid into my ISA & will top up to £100 each month. This will be next years holiday fund & untouchable except for that purpose
My other savings account will be fed by Quidco & possibly my £2 coin savings, not sure yet what it's ultimate purpose will be, possibly any home type refurbishing plans, or maybe one day Matched Betting funds. I appreciate your honesty about the time required Dan29 & know that if I set my mind to it I can do it, just dont have the head space right now.
I still want that camper van & houseboat but need to pay off debts before starting any type of longterm savings.
Boo to facebook. I remeber sarah, SBC & myself all agreeing on this previously but just to reiterate, in my case it's littered with those I chose to leave behind. One friend repeatedly asks me to 'join' her. I repeatedly ignore along with all the other begging, pleading & stupid irritating inbox cluttering chain letter she sends .
Sometimes I am not a very nice person0 -

Didn't you do some matched betting Buffy? I was sure I saw a thread ages ago where you were doing some..Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0
