    Hi All,
I've been lurking on your thread for a few weeks now and I can't believe I have finally read all 133 pages :D
Im hoping you'll let me join, Im not single but my OH is in the army and I rarely see him(as I say single without the benefits:p), I own my own place and am certainly struggling with the fact that I've been there two years and have managed to do very little other than the major structural stuff and it seems to have sapped all my money.
I have a lodger who is lovely but between him and his girlfriend I do end up feeling like the 3rd wheel
I've had credit cards since Uni and I never seem to manage to get rid of them, when I started on here last September I was so motivated and I sold loads of stuff and saved every little bit of extra cash, I managed to pay off 2000 in a couple of months but since the beginning of this year (can't believe we're half way through already) I have lacked motivation, I still do surveys and use the vouchers as my kind of amazon treat fund ....
I get so mad at myself when I think of all the extra money I would have if I hadn't spent on the credit card... all my friends are couples and they seem to be having so much fun doing up their houses where as mine sometimes feels a bit like a ten ton weight hanging over me...

Anyway I didn't want my first post to be a long moan and sorry if this is what it has turned into:rolleyes:, just desperately need to get myself out of this....
I think your all great and have really enjoyed reading your posts ;)

hi everyone and Dex, I've been lurking but been at work haven't had time to post.

Makeup I think I'm 6, although I have 1 friend who had a baby 18 months ago and she say's I'm the only person she talks to who she can talk to about everything else other than babies.

Gwen my house is in that half sorted decorating stage, and I don't care who comes round, I just say I'm decorating but I've lost motivation, feel free to get a brush, I don't live in a dust free palace but at least it's clean and tidy, so you shouldn't let it hold you back on the dating front, most lads don't give a hoot what it's like.

Car's in for mot and service on Monday, it's having a full service cos I can't remember when it last had one, trying not to spend money, but talk of M&S makes me want to go to the oulet shop in Leeds

Hello everyone - and welcome Dex

I've had a really frustrating evening.

I had a work meeting to go to but completely forgot I had tickets for the theatre. Somehow I got the dates completely mixed up and I was so confused! My friend rang me at 5.45pm asking if I was still ok to meet at a fab Turkish restaurant for dinner and then I realised my error. AARGH!

To make things worse I went to the meeting but only two other people turned off so we cancelled.....

So I missed out on my theatre tickets and a lovely Turkish dinner and now can't even claim a decent amount of overtime ....:mad:

Oh well I'm not in work tomorrow, my niece turns 2 so we're going to the zoo. And I've got her the cutest presents!

I'm watching the new Bill - very dramatic so far!!!

PS - good news on our bathroom, we now have a flushable toilet! and it looks fab, the new shower has gone in as well as the whb and a lovely mirror...hopefully won't take much longer to finish.....it's been a pain having it out of bounds during the day and flushing a toilet with a bucket was getting old.
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

None of that :naughty: Sometimes the best you can do is to just get by for a bit. I have done next to nothing for the last few days, it's hard to keep it up all the time. Have you joined any cashback/survey sites? It's a nice boost to get free things through the post. :D
