So annoyed with myself, I would be so loaded if I hadn't run up so much debt!
Tell me about it :mad::mad:. You're right though, a couple of years being as frugal as possible- while still having a life- will be worth it.
I had paid all my cc's off, however had to use MBNA 0% one to pay car insurance in full to get quidco cashback, will get that sorted asap though.
I paid off Barclaycard and my large od, but due to work being a bit rubbish recently I am back in my small od again. My monthly outgoings are a lot smaller now though. As you can see my house savings are a bit rubbish at the moment:rotfl:but I have set myself a 3 year target to get to 100%.
Well done on paying £970, that's really good.:jAre you attacking them all or just concentrating on one debt for now? I hope you have a treat sorted for when you get under a target amount.:D I was in John Lewis looking at the lovely glasses yesterday:D, one of them is mine when I lose another lb. :jPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -
Just trying to catch up on all the posts since yesterday. It's been busy! Good to see you back Pink and 970 pounds in just a month is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. It'll fly by, you'll be debt-free and then think of how much money you'll have every month.
Ha, I just wish £270 of that wasn't interest, can't get them down or transfer at the moment, have tried, but hopefully after the first few payments things will start to get better.
I want to get a new car in 2 years so that is something to aim for and maybe sell my flat and buy another so have real motivation now. Going to still buy myself a little something each month but setting that at £50. Still have the gym membership so really that's fair.0 -

Yeah, I'm paying off my Lloyds TSB card right now that has a ridiculous 24% APR, called them and asked them to reduce it and they won't so that decided me that it's the one that has to go first. Going from £5500 down to £4625 (then they will add £80 interest on gits). Still it's a start. Once I pay that one off and then the Halifax (still making small payments to the others) I will reward myself.
I think maybe once I pay this card off, or maybe this one and the other, I would maybe like reward myself. Don't know what yet though. Going to try to clear about another £10K first, then I will be halfway.0 -

I walked past John Lewis last week and I was thinking about you and your lovely wine glass. I was tempted to go in and try to find it but was too worried that I would want to buy it!

Hi!
Just been trying to catch up with all the posts. Busy weekends all round! I've been really busy getting lots of jobs done. I baked my flapjacks - yum! I also did boring stuff like filling up the screenwash on my car and checking the oil (God, I know how to have fun). I've been watching a bit of the Hickstead Derby and Glasto - looks good, wish I was there (both...chopper me in, lol). Loving 'Blur - The Universal' at the mo.
I can't remember who said it (Ziggles?), but yes, I am very lucky. KOL last week, Wimbledon this week. I'm also off to see Take That on Saturday, so it gets even better. I'm not entirely sure I can afford to see the boys. The rest of the month will be v.v.boring, but I think it's worth it. I have decided to return a couple of tops bought in the sales, in favour of going to the concert. I don't need them and I'd rather have a great experience than clothes (I must be ill, lol, or finally growing up). Also, I will also be printing every restaurant voucher I can find to save money over the weekend.
I've been having a little think actually and counting my blessings more than anything. I am so lucky. I've got some great friends, a great family (well, sometimes  ) and I've done some really great things and been so lucky in lots of ways. I may be a little poor at the moment, but life is good and I will sort this out.
Sorry, that was a little deep. Anyway, I have a question. I'm trying to use my &more card at the moment for food and petrol (purely for the vouchers - I'm mad at M&S, but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth). I transferred 200 pounds over to my card on Saturday, because I know if I don't, I'll buy all my food and petrol on the card and spend the money in my account. I'll still get the points, won't I? There's no reason why I can't do this, is there?
Right, I'd better get off. I've got a busy week, doing a goddess plan for Wimbledon. I might be on TV and need to look hot!

24% Definitely go for that one first:eek:
I would do a reward for each card, get it paid, chop it up, ring to cancel and then get something lovely.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

You're right, it will get easier. That's what I'm hoping too. Once you really start making big inroads into it, you'll be able to dramatically reduce the amount of interest you're paying. When you're finished you'll be able to get a new car and you'll still have your flat, which is great. I'm glad you've got a treat budget, everybody needs a treat now and then.Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -

Weighloss going okay, I want to get to 26lbs off by Christmas and am on 4lbs so far, am going to set myself a challenge of 7lbs in July.
I was very worried in JL when my favourite glass wasn't there, but it is still available on the internet with free delivery, so hopefully I will get it next week. :jPay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

Yeah, maybe you're right, a reward for each card does sound good. I'd really like a nice string of pearls, they can be expensive though. Maybe for xmas, might give me incentive. Getting myself the things that the lack of boyfriend/husband void presents . Well, that is the £22K of debt I ran up.
Never mind, drawing a line under the past 6 years and getting on with it. Got to draw a line at some point.0 -

I think it should be okay, they don't stop you from getting points if you spend and then get a refund on your card from something else. I am sure the points are triggered by spending.Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0
