Has anyone used those little compost disc things for seed sowing,?? (you water them then they expand) was also given a pack of them but never used them before.
Thats what I bought today. I didnt even realise it LOL. It was a cheap plastic propigator thing with 24 of the discs. Seemed to go ok and have put my mini sweetcorns in them to bring them up. They are sweating away in there and look good. Seemed to be very simple to use and should hopefully make planting out loads easier.
I also bought pumpkin seeds, and prolific tomatos so we shall see.
Tonight I planted my sweetcorn, onions, leeks, and pumpkins to get me started. Using cling film on all but the sweetcorn but may invest in some more cheapy propigator thingies
Still no luck on the wood as yet but still looking - surely reclaimed wood should be easier to find than this LOL
However, whilst I was asking about, I have managed to get gifted as much soil as I want and as much mature manure as I want. I think I will make the beds 50/50 after watching how will Hugh whirlieywhatchamacollit (the river cottage guy) plant his stuff straight into pure manure!!! I just have to work a way of getting it in bulk so I dont waste loads of money on petrol ferrying back and forwards.
Really hoping I get some of my bank charges back soon as I really need a shed and a skip. Neighbours complaining about the stack of rubbish in the drive
Its been there since I moved in almost (2 years ago)
Anyway, sure no one will still be up or reading this so will sign of now and start a fresh tomorrow - night all XDFW 228 LONG H 68
