Wednesday 18/3/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

:DWhen we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today i will:
  • check online banking
  • update spreadsheets
  • move some money to savings
  • make a loaf in breadmaker
  • storecupboard lunch and tea
  • laundry hokey cokey for OH
  • ironing for me
  • clean one room so no housework to do at the weekend
  • reduce, reuse,recycle one thing
  • plant at lest one tray of seeds
  • swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
  • aim for no spend day
  • sparkle a lot -purple cow socks today;)
  • use lots of smilies to cheer me up
  • plant the sprouty potato I found in cupboard last night

Good morning lovely dfw'sjumping0044.gif, Hi to all the regular postersHShearts.gif and welcome to any newbies welcome2.gif.

Not much planned for today one of those dys when I will just see what comes along:rolleyes:

Hope you all have great days. Sending hugs to all the poorly dfw's xxx

Catch up with you all later :D

Reduce,re-use, recycle.

    Hi today I will:

buy a load fo acid-free tissue paper
take 1 wedding gown, 1 boddice and 1 hooped petticoat to the dry cleaners (the gown has an oily mark on the front and it cannot be steamed:mad: )
Photograph all auction items bought yesterday - some of which will be put on ebay, others like the gowns will be taken to my friend who runs a wedding shop in the hope that she can sell them for me.
Write my profile for the people who want me to organise a prestigious event at The Dorchester in London in October.
Try and cook a proper dinner tonight - am angry because the chicken thighs that I got out for Sunday night have now gone off:mad:
    Finish my remaining assignments.
Do more washing and use my washing line again.

    Have a good day all.:D

Still got the pain in my side, hoping it's not my appendix:o Off to the doctors this morning to have my blood tests, hopefully it'll show I'm anaemic so we can get that sorted!

Anyway, will write a small list....

    • Moved £30 to kids club account and £50 to savings for holiday
    • Scratchcards 2 x 10p booo
    • Hoover lounge and kitchen/diner
    • Put away clean washing that's taken over airing cupboard;)
    • Meat out of freezer for girls' dinner
    • Read paper online
    • NSD hopefully
    • Think about finishing NVQ:rotfl:
    • Wrap ebay parcel, do postage thro' Paypal
    • Wrap Mum's Mother's day presents to post tomorrow
    • Keep popping back here for ideas!
    • Catch up on diaries, look for motivation;)

    Morning!

    So far I have...
    Checked online banking;
    Paid an electric/gas bill
Paid my mobile bill and set up a Direct Debit which will save me about £3 a month in future
Got the heating off and it's been off since this time last week

    Challanges ahead:
List 3 books on Green Metropolis
Pay my Virgin Media bill, set up a DD (saves me £5 a month and also avoids the £10 a month late payment fee. I'm bad, I know) :money:
Set up electric on DD as this will also save money
    All meals from the cupboards
    No Spend Day.
    Happy New Year

    Morning all!

Wish I had got more sleep last night... :coffee: (free tea from work helps!)

    Do my 3 hours overtime.
    Check online banking.
Do my daily scratchies and don't be tempted by the bingo!! I spent £20 last night and won £14 back and decided to stop. I have to resist from playing and just do my free scratchies!
Free Tea and water from work.
Bought my lunch in with me.
    NSD hopefully!
    Do any surveys.
