    BUMP!

So how many people are coming now?

And does anybody have the faintest idea what we are all going to do with ourselves while we are there? (I haven't been on an internet meet since 2000, which was spent having a Chinese then spending the rest of the afternoon in the pub ;) and let's face it, there are worse ways of spending a day :D)

    Can't wait!

Well, I am bringing my knitting and if others are interested and if most of us are staying in the hotel, we could have a knitting/crochet ideas and help swap session in the lounge/bar!

Also recipe swap and general merry-making would be fine, I am sure we will all have loads to tell each other!

Escaping from my two over-protective daughters I hope we will all have a great time and no doubt will come back even more fired up than ever.:j
I am looking forward to putting faces to names and wondering if they will all look how I imagine them to look like .:D I write short stories in my spare time, and I am sure that I will get quite a lot of material for my scribbles for college.;) Don't worry I won't give your secrets away, I just love people-watching.:A

A little food, wine and a good ols chat and giggle would be a real treat.

Should be a really fun thing to do, I have never been on one so have no idea but am happy to go with the flow. Can't wait!
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

    Hiya folks :)

I'm gonna see if I can find out some suitable eateries so that we can book a table if necessary.

I'll need to know what time people expect to be arriving so that we can try and sort out where and when we will all meet. I can give people my mobile number nearer the time too so that no-one is left wandering the prom, pulling a wally trolley, wearing a safety and accosting passers by asking do they know how to do a treble crochet and where do they use their vinegar :rotfl:

Also, do people actually want to do something more structured? I was thinking more along the lines of doing what we feel like at the time (bar booking a table in advance if necessary). We have shops, pub, pleasure beach, pub, walks on the beach, pub, the Tower, pub (do you think I've mentioned the pub enough times for Nels? :D:D )

I'm just wondering what sort of budget people are on

I'm sure some people's shoestrings will be tighter than others, and we wouldn't want to plan anything that makes some people feel like they have to say yes to something they can't really afford. While at the same time ensuring we make the most of the opportunities to paint Blackpool red :D

I'm not really speaking for myself (if we go charity shopping I can find extra in the clothes budget :D) but I do think we need to be mindful of this. I trust that anybody who's genuinely worried about busting their budget will not be afraid to say so in the company of like-minded people :D

The great thing about being in Blackpool is that things do seem to cheaper than elsewhere because of the amount of competition so we should be able to find good places to eat that are also reasonabley priced and hopefully the weather will be nice so we do some free sunbathing, i can see us now all in a line of deckchairs on the beach, hankies on heads trousers rolled up - very old style me thinks 28_1_16.gif

Ticklemouse i have read and reread your post but cant see much in there about going to the pub:eek: :D

I will have the reprobates Racy Red and Squeaky in the car with me and i guess we will be arriving just before lunch on the Saturday.

    How exciting is this!!!:j
