O proud left foot, that ventures quick within
Then soon upon a backward journey lithe.
Anon, once more the gesture, then begin:
    Command sinistral pedestal to writhe.

Commence thou then the fervid Hokey-Coke,
A mad gyration, hips in wanton swirl.
To spin! A wilde release from Heavens yoke.
Blessed dervish! Surely canst go, girl.

The Hoke, the Coke -- banish now thy doubt
Verily, I say, 'tis what it's all about.

    Woo Hoo! :D

I can't wait to meet you all and put some faces to usernames. As someone has said, its a VERY good idea for us all to have our avatar and usernames printed out as a badge.... Could you imagine going to a pub and having to ask random people, "...er, have you heard of MSE....?" :o
    Good, clean fun.... :D

looking down the list of the OS 'delegates' colourful usernames there are going to be some raised eyebrows when the good people of Blackpool come face to face with someone wearing a badge that names them as Squeaky or Ticklemouse or in my case a greying middle aged woman who calls herself apprentice tycoon :rotfl: :rotfl: it's not going to be a Ronseal moment as far as I'm concerned!

Well, I already know what some people look like from pics they've posted on MSE.

And if Ticklemouse has the same face as those two cheeky monkeys of hers, I'll know her instantly too!

It's a good job that JackieO has already mentioned that her hair colour and build are different from her avatar, because she's giving me a lift and I was half expecting her to turn up on a pencil :rotfl:

And is it just me, or will anybody else be shocked if Nelski and RacyRed don't look like the feisty ladies in their avatars? :D Certainly if Queenie was planning on turning up, I'd expect the housework fairy :D

    I don't look like mine, much - well, Piglet's a boy anyway!

does anyone know how you can print off an avatar to wear as a badge? I recognize who the poster is by the avatar rather than the name - this really throws me when people change them but I can usually get over it in time :D:o

AT- You'll have to make sure your avatar has his eyes open when you print him, or else you'll be wearing a badge with just whiskers on! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think this is a great idea. I recognises posters by their avatar too. When my OH is peering over my shoulder when I am on MSE he often laughs at them. My favourite was one of a dancing cat but it has disappeared from OS now. I think the person changed it but I used to like the way it moved. Sorry, does that make me sound weird? It was a bit like the dancing baby if you remember that. :o

Looking forward to meeting you all soon.

Chickadee - are you thinking of smokey112's old avatar? I think she used to have a ginger cat whose arms moved.

I think asap would be best. I know he still has the family room (en suite) available so you and your mum could share that. He did say that he was telling non-OSers that he was fully booked if they enquired, so I think it's only fair to him that we book as soon as we can.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

Hey - do I need a badge? Can't I just come dressed in a flag? :rotfl:

No Bargain rzl, it was a white cat. I think it may have been snowyowl? But I could be mistaken.

BTW, will you sing to us? Or will we have to ply you with drink? :D
