Travelodge do have great room prices, but their charges for pets are the highest we've ever paid. £20 PER NIGHT PER DOG!! Apparently it is for cleaning charges - they doubled the cost last summer, the staff told me. Our 2 little dogs have their own beds, don't go near furniture... I'd be happy to pay £10 each, and leave a £20 cleaning deposit, as I recognise some dogs may not be as clean or well behaved as ours.... But £40 for one night? Come on Travelodge.... :mad:0

I'm afraid I'm with Travelodge on that one. Anything that discourages dog owners from taking their pets into hotels has to be a good thing.
I dislike intensely the smell of dog that often lingers in hotel rooms, and I really don't like the thought of using a room that's had animals in it.
I'm fine with dogs, cats etc - outside or in someone else's house. I just don't want to share any accommodation with them.0 -
