With respect Icharm, although I haven't checked myself, I would not expect many London hotels (especially central) to have a heavily discounted rate on New Years Eve (I think that's what you meant?).

I did check out the Holiday Inn Mayfair (which IMHO is very nice central hotel), at random, for a night on the 22nd January and it does have the £20.12 rate available on that night. However, I fully appreciate your frustration when the offer is not available for the night(s) you want.

I checked Mayfair on 5 different random dates and none had the special rate and kept showing full price even though it was selected on the dropdown box so I guess you got lucky.

When I checked Kensington Forum, it specifically said they don't have this rate on that particular date

IHG's IT has been poor for this promotion and it's been pot luck if any of the links worked propterly.

There may be some odd nights left for Mayfair, but most probably not weekends.

This is true, I was up quite late last night and they didn't have the £20.12 rates at all. Then this morning when I woke up (late), they had them on.

It's quite annoying coz I'm not sure whether the dates I want don't have the £20.12 because they really weren't available or whether I had just woken up late and other people got to them first!

Ah well.. I did still manage to snag another two Central London rooms for £20.12 each, so I'm happy :p

Hey guys - I'm new to this thread but I was emailed this hotel deal from Hotels4u and I thought you'd want to know about it as you could end up getting a hotel stay for 1p!

£50 off all hotels bookings over £50 on Christmas Day only

This is the email I got.

    Update:
I found the full terms and conditions here. And I think if you click that link on Christmas Day the discount will automatically be added at the checkout...

    Terms:
The £50 voucher will automatically apply on Christmas Day when you click on the above link in this email.
Alternatively click here for the voucher to apply.
Terms and Conditions of the £50 voucher:
    1. The £50 voucher applies to bookings made on Christmas Day (25th December 2011 - 00:00 - 23:59 GMT) where the booking value is over £50.
    2. The voucher is valid on any hotel and there are no restrictions on dates of stay.
    3. Customers must spend over £50 to redeem the voucher. Only one voucher can be used per booking.
    4. Only one £50 voucher to be used per customer. If multiple bookings are made by one customer Hotels4u.com reserves the right to cancel the booking(s) of the lowest value.

  • Brend Hotels have an offer on rooms at the moment - they cover the South West only. Offer runs until 6 Feb. I booked one nights accommodation DB&B for only £35pp.:j Otherwise it would have been £39 B&B.

Premier's website appears to have fallen over if you're looking to grab one of the limited £19 deals.

We have now tried three times (!!) to make a booking, and each time the availability is confirmed on-screen and payment requested. But when we've filled in all our personal details and address details and, finally, debit card details, and clicked 'proceed', the next page says 'we're sorry but this website is experiencing technical problems, please try again later'.

Pity that Premier Inns couldn't have flagged up the technical problems it's experiencing before prospective customers have gone through all the various steps to make their booking, rather than after.

We're using Firefox as our browser so are about to use Internet Explorer to see if it makes any difference. :(

EDIT: Not sure what's happened here but we now have a confirmation email from Premier Inns in respect of our booking. Now there's the worry that the booking has been made and charged for three times even though the website didn't report that the transaction had been successful but simply reported 'technical problems'. Iy yiyi yi yi.
