Hello everyone. This is my first post. I used this offer a few times before it appeared on MSE. Thanks to that I had a free accomodation abroad when I was connecting flights. Now it's gone. :mad:

I don't think it will ever come back with the same conditions. Anyway it was nice to stay in 3* hotel with buffet breakfast for free.

Millennium Copthorne Madejski Reading has 10 rooms every night this year for only £10.00 per room and apparently the limit is 1 night per customer but I have booked two nights on separate bookings successfully. There is an additional £1.75 VAT charge making it £11.75 a night for two nights! Room only but I believe it's a 4 star hotel. Link is here

Hi, great offer - I got all excited about treating my other half to a weekend away for his birthday - no idea where we'd like to go though so I went onto the website to see a list of all the qualifying hotels...

VERY Annoyingly it doesn't say which hotels are using the offer and which nights so you have to search manually a city or town, only to find out it's not on the £29 offer. So you have to think of another town or city and try that one for the dates you want.... only to find that one isn't on the offer....and so on. With over 580 Premier Inns in the country - you can imagine I don't have the time nor the patience to try every single one of them!

The only rooms I did find at that price were motorway service stations or airports - which doesn't make for a nice romantic city break.

I am sure that they must rely on people not having the time nor patience to hunt these rooms down and thus they don't lose out on any profits!

What they should do is list the qualifying towns! Or would that be too easy!?

I totally agree. I've never yet managed to get a £29 deal. As we can now book as far ahead as Aug I thought I'd get in early for a romantic week-end away. No chance. The only rooms they have in the area we were planning are priced at around £100 per night.

The last one I tried to book (in October) I managed to find one where I wanted at £29 (hurray) then it timed me out before I'd chance to enter my credit card details. When I logged straight back in, guess what, there were no longer any £29 roms on offer.

This is just a con trick as far as I am concerned.:mad:
