  • This deal doesn't appear to include the Belfast Day's Inn. Not surprising since there is still a shortage of beds in the city. Days charge a minimum of £50 p/n for the Belfast hotel
  • We were recently bought a gift membership to The Hotel Offer Company. Didn't really understand the concept initially but used it for the first time last week. We stayed at a lovely little hotel on the outskirts of Chester called The Grosvenor Pulford, the quality really was superb, from arriving we were treated wonderfully, had a nice relaxing afternoon in the Spa followed by a fantastic three course meal. The roomS were also of the highest standard, English breakfast the following morning set us up for a good walk through the North Wales countryside before heading back to Manchester. Anyway what I'm really trying to get across is the value of the membership we were given, basically our hotel room was free providing we met the minimum spend based on meals set by The Grosvenor, this was £45 per person, we easily reached this and the hotel even allocated some of our drinks bill to it which they were not obliged to do. All in all we enjoyed a much needed break away from the city and saved over £100 using a membership that cost just £29.95, needless to say we are planning our next trip and would definitely recommend this offer.

I've tried to book an etap room on 17th Dec for £18 in Sheffield but when I do try and book it then tellls me it's £49!!! I then tried to book a £28 room in Leeds for the same date but it's £38 when I get to the check out stage!!!

    I smell a con!
  • Hi,
We managed to book a £10 room when this promo ran in October, but I'm just wondering if this was a one off, or a regular feature that the Mirror does every year or so - does anyone know please?
    Thanks a lot!
I don't think I can hang on til Friday...
  • Hilton's special offer page, from the link in Martin's email, states "The Any Weekend, Anywhere Sale". Interesting that Hilton's definition of 'anywhere' is different to most people's. Many of their hotels are not participating in the offer. Perhaps "The Any Weekend, Some Places Sale" might be more appropriate!

This is the first time I have heard of a Days Inn promotion. It may return next year who knows?

I was hoping the £1 Campanile promotion would return this year but it did not.

There has been quite a few hotel promos this year. Must be a sign of the (economic) times.

yep, that was probably the best hotel deal that I have ever seen. I think that it was a one-off as there had just been a take-over.

The weather was very bad at the time of the promotion last year and many people did not not turn up for the £1 booked rooms. The reception staff at one Campanile told me that they did not bother even claiming the £1 from the credit card booking as the cost of processing was more than £1.

What happens if you book a room which is less than £15. For example I have see na room for £5 per night. Will I make £10 profit per night? :)

Yeah, I thought that too! Luckily, the place I wanted to stay in (Edinburgh) was participating!

I've just booked and I found it strange that it doesn't tell you how much you've saved using this deal. Other places usually let you know how much you've benefitted from the promotion.
