Yes, I agree they should learn to amuse themselves - it's just that they drive me mad in the process. The good news is that the printer arrived so we aren't trapped in the house anymore.

I am part way through assignment 11 - have managed to type a page and a half. Why oh why was I always taught to use one word instead of several - I hate padding things out with unnecessary waffle:rolleyes:

Well I have been talking about pink cadillacs again this afternoon and have been speaking to the printers about my lovely business cards - I am having a shaped card but now they have shown me where the cut will be, I will lose most of the last s of my business name on the front of the card:rolleyes: Here's hoping they can shrink the wording slightly.

Its been a funny day here today, the weather does not know what to do - yesterday i had my flippy floppies on, today the boots are back on!

I took a bit of a tip from someone who had posted earlier on this thread, the name escapes me at the minute (blonde moment, sorry) and I am fed up paying the ridiculous bank charges that the banks charge businesses. Being a sole trader, I have opened up a new personal account with online banking and am going to work through it and use the business one less. So long as I keep records and can account for everything it seems that is ok. I feel like I have stuck a 2 finger salute up to the bank and by jimminy it feels good!
Could hit the ground with a bang though!

At long last the saga of the business cards is over, the my business name has been shrunk to fit and it all looks fab so now they are being printed:j

Its very odd weather today - this morning I woke to an almighty thunderstorm and it was so dark I had to have the lights on and now it is bright sunshine although it is a little breezy.

Well, coffee calls, not had one all day:rolleyes:

My day is over....well my working day at least. Went out and bought some hair dye so will do that tonight. Have a lunch organised on friday with work friends as one of them is leaving to go on maternity leave. Have to take the kids with me - but i love showing them off they are just so darn good looking!

I am cooking burgers tonight which I will have when I get back from my run (I am good!)

Horace you are having a very productive day. I am lucky I don't really need to promote myself. I did try and do have some cards for the admin side of my business but i never do any of that anyway. All my work is from Elance so i don't have to advertise. thank goodness.

We had the thunderstorm this morning too. Now it is really warm - lovely.

Tomorrow I am off to the chamber for my last meeting with my mentor - I end test trading on 26 April:j I then get moved over to another chap for support. I am still waiting for my password and other stuff to come through from the chamber now that I have joined and can't wait to go to a members induction day as it is also an opportunity to network:D

Burger and oven chips for me tonight - cooked in the Remoska (very MSE).:D

Glad you've got your cards sorted Horace-not long now til you are up and running !
I'm still stuck-all the photos have been done and now everything is waiting for the web designer-shes out of hospital now so hopefully she will be able to start soon but theres nothing else I can do until she has done the website. Need images from there to do some flyers and cant hand out business cards with a web address that doesnt exist yet on them !!
Have given her the links from people on here and they will be added for you when the site is being done :-)

Horace, you are going great guns. You so deserve to succeed.

Have worked all day in my own office - which is great, because I haven't spent much time here lately. Got a fair bit of what I wanted done - but would have preferred today to have been 48 hours long instead of a measly 24. I now have to go to bed as I am proofreading and can no longer focus. Quite an interesting book though.

Worked out (roughly) how much I owe the Revenue. Oh my God. Will I never learn to keep my books up to date. And yes, I do know I should be sending them money regularly and saving for tax bills, but I never have enough money coming in. Must work harder. Must get better paying work. Must be better organised. More than anything right now, though, must get to bed.

Happy day to everyone. Am in the back and beyond tomorrow so won't be able to get on to the Internet. I can do it, though - I can manage a day without logging on. I can. I can.
    "Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.
