I am on holiday from my morning job at the moment - go back on the 20th. But I will still do my usual daily article on both friday and Monday. I am sure my client wouldn't mind if i didn't do it but i think of the money and it doesn't take long.

It is my birthday on Sunday and I think I have a special day arranged for me on Saturday. So a busy weekend.

Right now i am supposed to be writing.....the research is done. Just getting it down on paper is proving difficult! I am hoping to take the kids to see Monsters and Aliens in 3D this afternoon. I am useless with 3D movies as I don't see very well out of my left eye and those glasses need both eyes working. So I am expecting to get a headache and miss half of it!

Starx - you seem to be feeling a little stressed. Probably lack of sleep! Getting hubby sorted out for his sleep apnea will do wonders. He will be less tired and grumpy leaving you to get a decent sleep too. it is amazing how not sleeping well can affect everything we do and feel. You will be back to your old self before you know it!

    Best of luck.

Yeah nzmegs, i am a bit stressed.. I have clinical depression and anxiety and panic disorder thou so I tend to get a bit more stressed out than normal!

Just got back from the hospital.. 3 week wait for the machine to confirm the sleep apnea and then 3 month wait for the machine :(

Oh well Ive been waiting a yr, (took long enough to persuade him to get his act together!) a few more weeks wont make any difference.

However he is making me a snack atm so I can get on with my work.. so id better do so!!

Oh Star - what a nightmare for you. All those problems plus the annoying NHS to contend with. Sounds like your work is going well though and with hubby making your snacks and taking you out for dinner I guess there is hope in the world!

Just got back from Monsters Vs Aliens. The 3D effects are pretty cool but I am sure I missed some of it as the kids seemed to see much more than me.
I now have 1.5 hours to get some work done before tidying the house and making dinner.

how does everyone else cope with housework I never have the time. My husband finds that a little difficult to understand as my work is meant to be flexible...hmm

    Hi everyone :hello:

What a brilliant thread. I've been self-employed since the end of January this year. So far it's going well but the info on tax I've found here is a huge help.

    Evening ALL

Horace - am already a member of Pincone thanks - dont get many surveys from them but when I do they are very worthwhile.

Havnt done too much office work today but loads of housework, plan is to pop into the office on & off over the weekend and do an hour at at time.

Nzmegs - that is one of my downfulls, seem to do less housework now than when I worked. I keep planning to do an hour each morning before going into the office but it doesnt seem to work.

Anyway - have a brilliant Easter weekend you lot.

    Evening all.

Housework is something that I try and avoid:rotfl: There is only me living here and I can make more mess than a whole household of people:eek: I had a friend over this afternoon who commented on the piles of wedding gear that I have everywhere and the fact that I haven't done any washing up - as I let it stack up a bit to make it worthwhile rather than constantly use hotwater to wash up one plate, one mug, knife and fork and a remoska pan. Managed to get rid of my old but still working and previously extremely cheap vacuum cleaner to a freecycler today so now I have space for the new one that is currently cluttering up the spare room:j

I have another friend coming over tomorrow and we are going out shopping - clothes shopping:eek: (I hate shopping for clothes because nothing seems to fit).

I received my tax return the other day and my mentor at the chamber has told me to take it in when I see him next week and we will go through it together as well as do the WTC form:j

Had a call from the chamber today re my membership and how if I want to meet clients etc, I can meet them at the chamber and I have access to free marketing advice etc:cool:
  • Well in response to my own post.. I will now be working tomorrow! As I got home from a friends to find that I have another email with more files to translate tomorrow. But I cant complain, due to being lucky with repetative texts, I will have translated nearly 11k words by the end of 2moro which gets me nearly 500 quid :D

If this keeps up I might be able to... shock horror.. contribute to the rent and start paying my credit cards off!!

    *Fingers crossed*

    Have a nice easter everyone!
