  • Ditto what Chev said. Perfect pick me up. MrsCMR will appreciate it I am sure.

Life deals us all pretty naff blows, usually when we least need them.

Chin up, shoulders high, deep breath and smile. Fool the barstewards with positivity and confidence, even if it feels like the world is crashing in.

Ok, here i am ... hopefully this wont become a massive posting but sorry if it does.
I am listing all that has happend since yesterday morning:

    1. JSA meeting .... 10.30 am appt... off i go - OMG OMG [forget humour - wearing of mostaches not applicable]. i was almost speechless when i went in. packed to the rafters with peeps - waiting. no seats. shown to a waiting area by a security man [?], then someone just shouts ur name "Mrscmr" to the whole room, you have to guess who shouted it. then u see nice lady [she was] who looks at ur form, photocopies stuff and then tells u to wait some more. well wait i did and wait and wait and wait. i had 2 hrs parking which i thought was enough. i had a child #3 at home with a temp of 38.5 and on tamiflu, it was approaching carpark ticket runnng out time. people were being called up, double claimants were being done, people were joking and just taking too much time. i wanted to cry, firstly for being there [sorry i sound like a stuck up person], secondly cos i needed to be home with my kids who are sick, thirdly parking was running out and i couldnt afford a ticket, fourthly cos i did not feel like a person who counted for anything - just another statistic. eventually 15 mins after parking ran out i was called. dealt with - told to come back thurs to sign on.

    2. get home tell OH about jsa and then deal with kids. then decide to get passports and stuff ready for imminent holiday. well went to the place where the passports are held - no passport for me. nothing - ripped house appart for the next few hrs, nothing. cried. hit rock bottom, cried more. rang passport office who told me i could only get a replacement by going to durham [4.5 hrs away] tomorrow [today]. i had to get the forms, photos, signed and had to be perfect - would be a weeks service or else no holiday.

    3. last night up all night with ill kids, same old same old.

4 morning today - get passport form and lost form and photos, OH then finds a company that can do it and have prebooked appts and can get me one tomorrow [thurs]. costs mmmm but guarenteed and means i dont have to do a 9 hr drive and be out of house with sick kids. so means i can go on hols - fingers crossed - will know that its ok by 2pm tomorrow or else panic!

    5. washing machine - oh always a domestic appliance breaks down in the middle of disaster. spin cycle wouldnt work so washing soaking wet at end of the wash. so mrscmr fixer got on the job - took the trap out the bottom found 30p stuck - cleaned and hurrah ! all working. shoudl be a washing machine repair person.

    6. OH - last of 4 interviews for 1 job - on a webcam - yeah its not that sort of job! and seems all very good and just need to get the paper work in order and somewhere for him to live - its working abroad - but great money. and he can start after the holiday! yeah! soo relieved and so is OH.

    7. and me ... me i got call from mystery shopping for my first secret assignment. im like a secret squirrel but without a tail! its tomorrow and only 12 pounds but its a start. im assumnig then i cant sign on [but i havent started signing on yet - advice please from someone?]

    8. oh oh spoke to virgin too and have agreed a low payment of 200 for next 3 months instead of 320! yay! me!

    9. have applied for jobs, freelance, anything anywhere.

    10. OH company... thats the only thing hanging over us at mo... still a little bit of an unknown - still a worry and one i want to know about tomorrow - but that is tomorrow.

    11. and so... maybe just maybe we hit ground zero, tunnelled down a little further ground -2 and now, if i dare to say it. maybe on the way up - or leveling out at very least.

    12. even i was brave enough to talk to my dad and apologise for being a disappointment and that i was too embarrassed and ashamed to tell him of our woes, - he was gruff, stern but laughed in the end. dads eh!

sorry it has been a long post. sorry. its not over by a long way but if in 3 months time i can start getting debt back on track and i know this - i will never ever ever ever make this same mistake as long as i live. i have learnt so much about shoppinig - thinking - cutting back - everything. i will never wish to be so greedy and needy ever again.

thank you all for supporting me... maybe i have turned a corner?
