I think that is a really good idea lunar - I posted mine a couple of months after I joined and I think I was expecting lots of "judgment" rather than support. I was really pleased with the response I got... and took up a number of the suggestons made with really positive results.

The idea of pm'ing it I think gives some safeguards too...

    Hi,

Sorry the bank said no. Please don't be pressurised into these payments, they will all be doing what's best for them. Have a think about what Lunar said. You've lots of friends on here and there's lot of advice available.

I'm at CAB tomorrow and will see if money adviser is around and have a discrete word with her. See what she recommends as first steps although Scotland and England can be different in some regards ... would that be ok with you?

    Hi

Once you get into problems with a business your bank is going to say no. We had 2 small businesses and when we got to the stage where we were running out of options we saw an Insolvancy Practioner ( we got an appointment free) I asked at a local accountants and they put me in touch with someone who could help. Frankly her help was to tell us what we already knew but it helped than an "expert" also agreed with us. What you need to do is ask for help. It sounds like your OH isn't ready to do this yet, but he will eventually. But borrowing more money probably isn't the answer and you'll probably find now that you can't anyway.
    You will get through this.

    Hey Mrs.

Is your OH the only one responsible for finding this money, or are the other directors in the same position? What happens if the company gets wound up but your OH gets another job? Can you manage then?

Then my fingers are very much crossed for you!

In all we have had to deal with it has felt impossible at times, but looking back I see that everything that has happened has worked out for the best in the end.

The way we have changed our lifestyle to cope with the situation we found ourselves in has meant that we are in a more financially secure state than ever before, even when we were earning a combined salary of twice as much as we are now.

I am very much a believer in everything happens for a reason; that and a cosmic order. :D Chin up chick.
